Went into lens crafters Sunday afternoon arround 2pm, wasn't approached by a sales rep for about 10 minutes, I was then asked if I need anything by one of the ladies who worked there who smelt really bad, I said no thank you, continued to look for a couple more minutes then walked out.
Will not be returning.
I will add, they did have about 3 other customers in the building but about 4 workers there.

Do not get an eye exam from this store if you don’t plan on definitely buying your glasses there. They will charge you for an incomplete eye exam if so. I called this LensCrafters to make an appointment for my teen to get an eye exam and possible glasses. Since she’s picky, I asked upon calling if it was ok if we didn’t purchase glasses from there and if that would affect the price or anything. She said no it was perfectly fine not to purchase there. So I made the appt. Upon arriving, we see no glasses she likes so before the exam I ask again, is it ok if she doesn’t buy glasses from here she’s picky. Again, an employee responds with yes. I pay for the exam, and upon trying to order glasses online from another website, I notice the pd is missing from her prescription. Thinking it is a mistake I call to ask for it. Then I’m told, “we don’t measure the pd of you don’t buy glasses from here.” Which would have been great to know when I asked two different employees before the exam if it would change anything not getting glasses from there and they both just “forgot” to mention that they won’t do an important part of the eyeglass exam if you don’t buy glasses from them. If that’s the policy, that’s their business. But they lied about policy, and knowingly let me pay for an exam that wasn’t complete. When I told the employee who answered that I should’ve been told this when I asked twice, her response was “well you can measure it online but it probably won’t be accurate” so why did I pay for an incomplete exam then?! Don’t get an exam here if you don’t plan on buying glasses from the store because you’ll be in the same boat as me, paid for a prescription that I can’t use. Do business instead where employees are honest about everything when asked.

I just walked out of an appointment with my son after our family coming here with no issues for years. We were scheduled for our annual appointments in August. They called and rescheduled us twice because they didn’t have doctors available for the days of our appointments. We were sitting in the waiting room when we were told that the doctor would see me, but she wouldn’t see my son because she doesn’t see kids younger than 8. He’s 7-1/2. He’s been wearing glasses for over a year and has had 2 of these appointments with no issues. We waited a month for this appointment and drove 40 minutes. The doctor came out and said she’s unable to do appointments for younger kids because they don’t cooperate and she can’t get the right prescription for them. I asked why we were scheduled with a doctor that refuses to see kids and was given no explanation other than a shrug. After calling my husband, we left and will be switching eye doctors. The receptionist was kind, but the whole interaction was extremely unprofessional.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
