  I went to Gahring Optical after my eye Dr. moved away. I had high hopes for a great experience but instead ended up without receiving the services paid for and feeling like my time had been wasted. The OD, Jacqueline Caringola spent way too much time telling me about her personal life and not enough on getting my exam done properly. I was there over 2hrs for a routine exam. She put me in contacts to try that were not what I had been wearing. Those trial contacts made me sick and I was unable to wear them, which was fine it was a trial. At my follow up appointment she told me she couldn't give me a contact prescription without having the trials in. When I told her that they made me sick and I wasn't able to function in them she said "well I can't give you a prescription without seeing them in your eyes". (None of this was told to me during my first appointment). I told her I wanted the same kind of contacts I had before coming to see her. She again told me she could not write a prescription without doing trials again. When I asked for a partial credit to cover the services I had not received (due to her own negligence) so that I could go someplace else to get the exam she told me they don't give credit for eye exams. She also read me her notes from my first exam, citing incorrect information. When I told her she wrote down incorrect information, her response was- "well, that's what I wrote down". Not at all professional. Also unprofessional that she had no problem charging me for an eye exam that she refused to provide a prescription for. I highly recommend you do NOT utilize Dr. Jacqueline Caringola for your eye care needs. She will charge you for services not provided, fail to tell you pertinent details for exam and follow up exam requirements, blame you for not knowing information she did not tell you, and documents false information in your chart. Worst service I have ever received from a "professional".

  I had 2 wrong prescription glasses from another local optometrist my wife had 1 wrong prescription from the same optometrist down the road. Went to Gahrings optical got the correct prescription now we can utilize the glasses without headaches. Thank you very much everyone one was friendly and helpful thanks again you guys are awesome

  Very friendly and professional. The owner took his time with my son and made sure he got the right glasses. The price was very good.
