- CPCharles PriceSep 17, 20191.0It's too bad I can leave a zero stars. My dad is in late-stage Parkinsons and my Mom needed assistance (I live out of state) so we called Home Instead Senior Care. Well from the start of course Rebecca, the client care coordinator, promised the world. Scheduling was critical, I asked if someone calls in sick is there an on-call caregiver. I was told that the entire staff including office staff were all trained caregivers and there would not be a reliability issue. If it came down to it an office staff employee would fill in. Well fast forward to week one. first call. Sorry we can't get anyone there this week, SERIOUSLY?? Ok, maybe they didn't have enough time to get the scheduling details ironed out in a week but lets start fresh next week. "Great, not a problem we will get him on the schedule and we should not have any problems from there." Time after time, "can we send someone 6-9PM rather then 11-1PM" REALLY???? Then last week they send a 76 year old (very nice) to take care of a man who can't walk and needs assistance getting to the restroom and getting cleaned up???? Physically she cannot help him. Another woman they sent my Dad did not care for, so we asked they not send her. So they call a few DAYS ago and want to send that woman. My mom said no, send someone else. So today they call (someone is supposed to be arriving in 2 hours) and tell her that's the only person they have so now no one is coming AGAIN. They couldn't send her elsewhere and pull someone to my Dads? UNRELIABLE is not a strong enough word to describe their service that WE pay for. My mom tried to be as cooperative as reasonable. We pay for a certain schedule. What is the point of making a schedule if they want to change it every time??? BEWARE they promise the world but don't deliver.
