They wanted to charge me $325.00 for polycarbonate, bifocal, nonreflective lenses only. the frames were 125.00 alone😲. Nobody changes that much for lenses. That's how they get you..

I never take the time to write about my negative experiences because honestly, I do not believe anything substantial is ever done to address the complaint. However, this experience is one that needs to be brought to the attention of the corporate office. I normally do all of my business at the Wikes-Barre location inside the Wyoming Valley Mall. No matter which associate is on, my experience has always been a very good one. The store is clean, the employees are friendly, and even when they are busy, they keep you updated on estimated time until I am seen. I assumed this was part of the training and culture at LensCrafters, so that is what I was expecting when I went to a different location. I obviously need to lower those expectations. Since I was already in the Viewmont Mall in Scranton I decided to pop in and see if they had anything new or different. As I walked in, I noticed it was fairly clean and in order. I also noticed that two different employees made eye contact, neither of them said hello. Strange not to greet someone upon entry but I let that go. I walked around for quite a few minutes before someone finally engaged me. It was a tepid greeting but one, nonetheless. I was asked a few questions in a monotone way that felt almost scripted. When the person discovered I was not making a new purchase, it seemed I was now just an inconvenience. Sighs and eye rolls are not good for customer service. I asked for the manager and was “greeted” by what seemed to be an even more annoyed associate. This Justine person treated me like I was some derelict from the street. Her tone was dismissive and very condescending. I was shocked this was the Manager representing your organization. I understand people have bad days, but this treatment was beyond the pale. In fact, I just turned around and waked away as by then I was equally humiliated and angry. Honestly, if I didn’t have such a great relationship with the Wilkes-Barre location I would take my business elsewhere. I will say this; I would rather be unable to see before I would ever go to the Viewmont Mall location ever again.

I really enjoyed the service here the receptionist in the front along with a young ladies who worked in the front area. They were very kind warm, inviting they paid attention to what look good on me, helping me to aid in my decision and not just steering me in the direction of the higher price ones nonetheless I am a first-time customer and they will forever have my business based on how they treated me as far as the doctor. she is amazing as well. She spotted something for me to be concerned about within my health. She brought it to my attention. I managed to leave the office. She made it a top priority to contact me and to let me know to maybe make another appointment with a personal physician to check on my health which she was able to tell due to the veins in my eyes. This was my first time getting a camera view of my eyes it was amazing. I recommend anyone to give this place a try.

This has been by far the best place that I have been too when it comes to my eye care. Very professional and courteous staff. The exams are thorough and if I trust in someone who will give me the best care it will be this place..they have a very nice selection of high end glasses and the prices are not bad at all. If you want a place that actually cares about their patients this is the place to be. you can't miss going here..

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
