From the first day when I walked in and my name was wrong (I was somehow listed as Kevin), to the general ignoring of patients standing at the counter, to receiving a bill for blood work related to my routine physical, I'm not overly pleased with the service here.
Of particular note is that when I asked if the blood work would be covered by my insurance as part of the physical, I was told yes. When I called after receiving my bill, I was told they would never say that because there's no way for them to know.
Which is baffling, since I'm typing this on a futuristic device that connects people so they can ask and answer questions. The same device I used to call my insurance moments ago and the doctor's office just now, only to be told they write "millions of 'scrips" a day.
So they definitely have phones. They just don't want to use them to follow-up.
Que sera sera.
On the other hand, does anyone have recommendations for doctors in the Pittsburgh area? I need a new one.
Edit: As it turns out, they're trying to bill me because I mentioned health issues during my annual physical.
The same one where you mention health issues.
Not the physical itself, which was covered. But they tacked on additional billing because I mentioned other health issues.
This continues to get more and more ridiculous.
Avoid this place and their deceptive billing practices.
Newer Update! Dr. Davis called me back to discuss the issue, but while doing so, repeatedly cut me off while I was trying to answer. He's as rude as the rest of his staff, which is no genuine surprise.
