Welcome to Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates (GPOA), Pittsburgh’s oldest continuously-operating orthopaedic surgical associates. Our goal is to provide compassionate orthopaedic care to patients of all ages for an extensive variety of conditions.
GPOA’s approach to care involves using state-of-the-art technology to keep our treatment effective and cutting-edge, no matter your condition. We also strive to make our care as minimally-invasive as possible: this means we’ll never insist on surgery if there is a less invasive alternative, and we’re always applying the latest technology and surgical techniques to minimize recovery time, cost, and post-surgical pain.
Everyone is kind and caring. Doctor Levy is the greatest back surgeon! I wouldn’t trust another doctor. He is kind and caring and just wants his patients to get better.

Do I need physical therapy or rehab after a procedure?
Yes! Post-surgical rehab is a vital step for anyone that has had a surgical procedure on the hand, wrist or upper extremities. Fortunately, the physicians at Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates are equipped to provide you with all the support you’ll need to make a full recovery, every step of the way.
What can I do at home to speed up my recovery process?
Alongside your usual physical therapy, we strongly recommend that you perform exercises at home, as directed by your surgeon. Tennis elbow stretches are especially important for recovering your full range of motion after elbow surgery. Your specialist can help direct you in performing lateral epicondylitis tennis elbow rehabilitation as part of your post-surgery routine.
