Over 18k out of pocket. Sends us annual storage bill. Had you asked if we wanted it stored we had told you NO! Let us grieve! Very painful experience.
I scheduled a first-time medical consultation and decided to cancel it on time after reading a comment from the doctor that made me uncomfortable, combined with other negative experiences I’ve had at this country. The concept of patient service here practically doesn’t exist: there is a lack of professionalism, the empathy feels fake, and it seems like they only care about getting paid rather than listening to or helping patients.
I canceled within the allowed time, and I am still receiving daily messages and emails demanding payment for a consultation that never took place. I find this extremely disrespectful and it only confirms the negative impression I already had.
I hope they improve their customer service and their processes, because situations like this only create distrust among patients.
UPDATE: we communicated with the practice director, Joe Maloney, and he was very empathetic to our situation. We were assisted in resolving things and have renewed trust with RMA.
Our experience was ultimately disappointing due to billing and insurance miscommunication. Before proceeding with testing, we were repeatedly told — both verbally and in writing — that this provider was Tier 1 with our insurance plan. Based on those assurances, we moved forward with services.
After the fact, we were informed that the provider was actually Tier 2 and that we were responsible for a significantly higher balance than expected. We were told this was due to misinformation from the insurance company, but unfortunately the financial responsibility was still passed on to us without a willingness from RMA to make the situation right.
While the staff was responsive, we trusted the information provided and feel misled by the process.

I did 2 years of fertility treatments at RMA Philadelphia, 1 of those years was a full year of IVF. I was treated like a nameless patient and my "plan" was a part of a flowchart that had zero personalization for my specific medical needs. I was told to seek a surrogate because I had very slim chances of having a child. As opposed to following this advice I seeked a second opinion with Dr Manara in Vorhees, NJ. After one onboarding month and one transfer I was pregnant and I just got done feeding my 5 month old baby girl. I feel horrible that I wasted so much time with this organization but blessed that it all worked out, even though they didn't have the capability or desire to help. God is good.
