I've been to 20 club pilates studios around the country and there has never been one started over 20 min late due to instructor tardiness. Furthermore the other students waiting said this was a regular Occidental at 6am. All that might have been ok if the class wasn't then cut short by 15 min to make up for this but it's not right to pay 45 dollars for 35 min of what should be a 50 min class. Furthermore I reached out for a refund and never received a reply from the club.
- IIIssieroseJan 29, 20261.0Unethical business practices. Do not join. This studio operates in ways I consider unethical, and I would not recommend it. As a beginner, the instruction style was unsupportive and embarrassing. Corrections were repeatedly called out in front of the class even when I was clearly trying and not at risk of injury. This is not respectful or appropriate for beginners. In one instance, an instructor physically adjusted me after I explicitly asked not to be touched. That boundary was ignored. More concerning were the billing practices. After pausing my membership, I submitted a cancellation request more than 30 days before my next billing cycle. The studio provides no confirmation of cancellation requests. Despite repeated follow-ups, I was still charged. Management later claimed cancellations cannot be processed while on pause—a restriction not stated in the contract or publicly available policies. I received no response after challenging this and had to dispute the charge through my bank. This studio is not transparent or trustworthy.
