  *Update: Last visit I had a nice person up front and doctors were very patient with my not so patient children, that was a 5 star day Some of the front desk people are horribly GRUMPY! It's a nice surprise to have someone that doesn't make you feel like your bothering them by being there. Nurses and doctors here are great towards my kids and that's what keeps us coming back for now.

  This was our first and last appointment at East Suburban Pediatrics. From the moment we stepped into the waiting room, it felt like a ghost town, devoid of the warmth and child-friendly atmosphere one would expect from a pediatrician's office. Our interaction with the nurse only exacerbated our disappointment. Her disinterest in our child was palpable, and it seemed as though they were merely going through the motions. However, our Nurse Practitioner, while acceptable, did little to salvage our experience. One of the most alarming aspects of our visit was the response we received when expressing our desire to decline certain vaccines. Instead of engaging in a constructive dialogue or attempting to educate us, we were summarily dismissed. The lack of respect for our concerns and the absence of any effort to provide information was deeply troubling. To add insult to injury, we were handed a formal letter within SECONDS of the Nurse Practitioner leaving the room stating they refuse to treat us due to "significant philosophical differences", further underscoring the impersonal nature of our interaction. While we understand that adherence to office policy is important, the complete disregard for our feelings and the dismissive attitude displayed throughout our visit left us grateful that we'll be patients at a different pediatrician. Despite their adherence to policy, the lack of empathy, understanding, and effort to address our concerns made it abundantly clear that this was not a place where we felt comfortable entrusting the care of our child. We sincerely hope that the office takes steps to improve their approach to patient interactions to prevent others from encountering similar disheartening experiences in the future.

  My poor baby girl had 3 miss diagnosis over 2 months from this office. She was sick the whole time, they said it's reactive airways to asthma and strep throat....well no it was rsv, then pneumonia. 2 months of my child being scary sick, last time I talked to them they said good luck without a follow up call from her PCP from this office. That was the immediate sign that east suburban was not our best choice for pcp. Not too mention the doctor called children's during our second opinion to argue with our new doctor that they gave her enough antibiotics (very unprofessional when a family is looking for second opinions) and no they didn't give her enough, first round didn't work so what do you do?? Cut it in half?? Yeah that'll work... If you care about your child's health I would stay away. My review pretty much affirms the review directly below, they did it to us too

  Dr. Duwan is phenomenal, very well mannered and on-top of everything.
