  Be careful when you make appointments for cleaning with Lancaster Smiles. I do have dental insurance through MetLife. MetLife provides two cleanings for a year. In 2024, I had only one cleaning, and Lancaster Smiles could not accommodate a date within the same year to have my second cleaning. So they gave me an appointment on January 2, 2025. In 2025, Lancaster Smiles made me two more cleaning appointments (altogether 3 for the calendar year 2025). I did not know that I had two previous appointments before having the third one in November. As a result, the third cleaning was not fully covered through my insurance, and I got a bill for $188. They said that it is my responsibility to pay. I believe it is not acceptable, and I am not happy with the situation. Based on my experience, other doctors' offices mention upfront if your visit is not covered. So, be careful!

  I have been associated with this dental practice starting with Dr. Wertz. The quality of service has always been "top notched". As far as maintenance, Stephanie could not do a better more thorough job and be more pleasant at it

  Not sure to put 2 stars or 3, I'll try to be generous here. They have a nice location and the people seem nice but I had some problems. Went for a deep cleaning/ scaling. they must have nicked something up in my gums, had pain on the right side of my face and up into my fore head for almost a month. They tried to blame a surgery I had done on my cheek 35 years ago as to why I had the pain but I have had other deep cleanings and braces since I was 6 and never had a problem. Also confusion on the billing, agreed to the services before service was done since they were telling me one price. This would have been a little cheaper than if I had gone elsewhere, a few weeks after the service they billed me for extra. I would not have gone here since now its more than what I could have had done elsewhere. They should understand their billing a bit better and if they find an error, not charge the patient. Overall I would go there if I had to if that's the only option but would want all charges figured out before I even sit down.
