I just accepted that as normal pharmacy cost of business. My wife and my daughters went to CVS awhile ago. After today I am joining them. My doctor sent a prescription over yesterday morning. I called today, before noon, to ask if it was received and filled. I was told that it would take 25-30 minutes. I had shopping to do there so I waited 20 minutes and headed to Acme. I shopped and checked out over a 20 minute period and then headed to the pharmacy. I was told that it would be a 20 minute wait. I nicely tried to say that I called in advance but the tech walked away before I finished speaking. What the tech failed to inform me of was the only pharmacist on duty was about to start her lunch break. I waited another 20 minutes and approached the counter again to check. The tech that was 20 feet away and not helping me yelled ‘he isn’t getting anything til (pharmacist name) gets back. The person helping me just turned her back to me after that and didn’t say a word. When the pharmacist returned to duty, she approached me with perfect customer service and asked what I needed. She said it would be a minute and then handed me my bag 30 seconds later. Considering a Giant opened up across the street one would think they would try harder to keep customers.
