This place is absolutely TERRIBLE! Some of the staff are extremely rude and there is ALWAYS an issue with appointment times etc! I highly suggest going elsewhere if you’re looking for a new dental place!

I had a deeply concerning experience at Centerville Clinics that felt rooted in racial bias and discriminatory treatment. I arrived **four minutes early** for a new patient appointment and was told I might not be able to be seen because I “should have arrived 15 minutes earlier.” As a result, **my Black child and I were told we had to wait to see if the 9:30 AM patient would arrive** in order for us to be taken back. During **another visit**, I personally witnessed a **white patient arrive late and still be taken back** for their appointment. However, when I—a Black woman—arrived late on a separate occasion I was told there is only a strict **five-minute grace period** and that I would have to be rescheduled. This level of inconsistency in policy enforcement is unacceptable and harmful, especially in healthcare settings where equity and trust are critical. The NAACP, Department of Labor, and/or EEOC should seriously investigate this institution. Funding and support should be redirected to clinics that are culturally responsible, equitable, and genuinely committed to fair and unbiased treatment for all patients.

My first appointment to see the dentist was a fantastic experience. She was kind and made me feel comfortable. I needed to come back to get my teeth cleaned at her request. I arrived 5 minutes early. There was an elderly gentleman standing at the one and only check in window. He had to make multiple appointments, and then asked the receptionist to call the dentist to ask a question (I know he needed 2 appointments. One for a filling and one for a cleaning. He wanted them done in one appointment because he said he was on a fixed income and had many other Dr.s appointments. He was trying to save money. He told the lady to ask the dentist about tooth sensitivity. The dentist recommended a toothpaste....I know all of this because I WAS STANDING RIGHT BEHIND HIM) He wasn't done for a little over 13 minutes. Even though I was in line 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, they said I was late, and that my appointment was canceled. When I pointed out I was in line for 13 minutes they said I wasn't because and I quote, "they didn't see me". No one came out and called my name at my appointment time and no one in the office moved from their chairs. They are behind a tiny glass window and someone was standing in front of it. So I'm not sure how they expected to see me??? I was then told the women who was suppose to clean my teeth left at 12:30, which was my scheduled appointment time. That she was "strict" with "late" patients and that she couldn't be late for an appointment she had. I waited 7 months for this appointment. The next available appointment was in 4 months!!!! So my appointment was canceled because the dental hygienist had somewhere else she wanted to be and the receptionist took almost 15 minutes for one customer. Since she couldn't see me, I'm very short, standing behind a man that made me late. I asked if they expected me to push past the person in the front of the line so I could check in? There were no other people in the waiting room, so if I had to guess the hygienist (who is only there 2 days a week) wanted to leave early so no matter what my appointment was going to be "canceled". The dentist and one lady who is in the office are very nice, the rest are comically and unapologetically bad at their jobs. You can tell they hate their jobs, they HATE their patients, the don't want to be there. This location should be closed.
