I would recommend them to everyone. Absolute professionals. I was there after a knee replacement and they helped me get back to normal. Great place when you need help.

My injury was a little quirky to treat. They never stopped trying to implement different techniques to find a solution.

After needing physical therapy many different times during my life, and in quite a few different cities, I can honestly say that I have never seen a place run as well as David Physical therapy Southpoint. Jonny and Justin are amazing, and there is always somebody ready and available to help you--you never feel abandoned by the physical therapist that is in charge of your therapy. Jonny is so kind, so much fun, and has helped me so much! The team assembled there is excellent. It can be extremely tough going through issues with pain and rehab, but every single person here made it that much easier for me. Thank you so much to everyone at David physical therapy!

Frequently Asked Questions About David Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center: Southpointe
How long is a physical therapy session?
Because your first appointment will include an initial evaluation, it will be a little longer (approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours). The following appointments typically take 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Arrangements can always be made to adapt to your schedule
Can I take a tour?
Of course! Give our office a call to schedule a tour, or walk right in. We would be happy to show you around. You can also take a virtual tour of our office by clicking the link Virtual Tour.
Do I need a prescription?
Most insurance companies require you to get a prescription from your doctor. However, there are a few which allow you to come for 30 days without a script under Direct Access. Direct access means the removal of the physician referral mandated by state law to access physical therapists' services for evaluation and treatment. These include: Blue Cross Blue Shield Community, Blue Cross Blue Shield Comprehensive, Blue Cross Blue Shield Indemnity, Keystone, Preferred Blue and UPMC (This does not include UPMC for You or UPMC for Life.). In addition, patients can come without a script from their doctor if they choose to self pay. Self pay rates are $150 for the initial appointment and $100 thereafter.
What do I wear?
You will want to dress in comfortable clothing that allows easy access for the therapist to examine your problem areas. Loose fitting clothes are best and supportive sneakers are good choices to wear.
How many sessions will I have?
Number of sessions varies for each patient. Together with your referring physician, your therapist will develop a plan of care that is right for you. Your plan of care and number of visits will be determined during your first visit and explained to you by your physical therapist.
What are my insurance benefits?
Everybody's benefits are different. Give our front office staff a call at 412-344-9044 and they would be happy to verify them for you.
