We've been patients for many years and very disappointed time and time again due to continued lack of communication regarding billing, appointments, treatments. While the patients are required to adhere to strict guidelines regarding billing, appointments, punctuality. The provider does not adhere to the same. There is no consideration for the patients or there busy schedules. If you choose this provider, expect to sit in there office all day for something that should take an hour. Be prepared to be current on your bill and treatment plan, yet receive threatening communications via letter and phone calls, that your being kicked out of the practice. When you call they say its a system error, yet the threats continue.

The Spark team in Camp Hill PA is awesome. Their dental technicians listen to my request to make a small adjustment to my retainers, and always make them feel comfortable to wear. The check in and check out staff are professional, pleasant, kind and share their nice smiles with me and all their customers. I have been a customer for about 5 years. Thank you, Lisa. I got a permanent spacer and braces here when I was a kid, when they removed the spacer and eventually the braces I had an individual file my teeth evenly with one another to align them. For "look" without my ask or consent to do so. Several years down the road I am now dealing with chipping, cracking and enamel decay to the teeth that where filed. No other teeth, but those specific ones. During that time they were called N-Braces, not Spark. I hope they ask their patients/clients now-adays if that is something they want done instead of taking it upon themselves.

Camp hill location is the best hands down! They actually answer the phone, give you all the details you need moving forward with future appointments, payments etc.
I switched to camp hill location after having a horrible customer experience at Lancaster location for the first 2 appointments. The front office personnel at Lancaster is not the best, not attentive and don’t answer the phone! Too busy talking to one another at the desk and then give you the poor excuse of being short staffed and that’s why the phone isn’t being answered 🙄 yea..ok. Very unprofessional, no apology given.
Anyways, just go to camp hill location. They will have you in and out at a timely manner and they are more professional. Answered all my questions and I didn’t feel rushed.
Frequently Asked Questions About Spark Orthodontics of Camp Hill
Does our family dentist need to refer our child to see you?
Not at all! Many parents take the initiative to call us for an initial appointment themselves.
What will happen at my child’s free Spark Smile Assessment?
When you and your child first arrive at one of our orthodontic offices in PA, our staff and orthodontist will tell you a little about our office and what to expect. We will then take the necessary photographs and X-rays of your child’s teeth to allow us to make a proper diagnosis. Finally, the orthodontist will conduct a short, but detailed, exam and then discuss his or her findings with you both.
How long should I plan for my child to wear braces?
Treatment time depends on each child’s specific orthodontic situation. In general, it can range from 12 to 30 months. On average, a child or teen wears braces for about 22 months.
How much will braces cost? Do you offer financing for braces? What about insurance?
We will be able to give you answers to all of these questions right after your child’s free Spark Smile Assessment. We have many available financing options that we will review with you. If you have one, we will also review your insurance policy and help to maximize your benefit and file your claims.
How often will my child need to see an orthodontist?
We see most patients in braces every five to 10 weeks, but your child’s specific situation may require more frequent monitoring. Also, if you choose our Spark Accelerated Treatment, you can decrease their time in the orthodontist’s chair by 30 to 50%!
Do you offer after school hours?
We offer convenient hours before school and after work, opening at 7:30 am for two days per week and closing at 7:00 pm on two additional days. We will try our best to meet your scheduling needs. Because we schedule most appointments five to 10 weeks apart, most children miss minimal school time due to their orthodontic treatments.
Can my child return to school on the same day they get their braces?
Yes. There is no reason to miss school because of an orthodontic appointment.
Should my child still regularly see a dentist after they get braces?
Yes! Your child should still have regular dental checkups while in braces. Ask your family dentist how long your child should now wait between cleaning appointments.
Does my child need to avoid certain foods with braces?
Yes, they do. After your child begins treatment, we will explain their food choices thoroughly and give you a list of foods to avoid. For instance, they should steer clear of hard candy, ice, raw veggies and anything sticky, like taffy or caramel. If they don’t, you might find yourself at an emergency appointment to repair damaged or missing braces!
How frequently should my child brush their teeth while wearing braces?
They should brush their teeth after every meal and at bedtime. We’ll show your child how to floss properly and also give them a special fluoride prescription if we feel they would benefit.
How do you handle emergencies?
If your child feels extreme pain or they damage their braces, please call the office right away. Usually, we can solve problems over a telephone call. In a dire emergency, we will always make time for your child to come in.
