However, was told they never do an exam without it. I just wanted a refraction exam, but was given a medical exam, and, then, had to pay for it.

She also showed me the images of what inside my eye looks like which was pretty cool. The staff were really nice and friendly very helpful when it came to me trying to pick out a pair of glasses that fits my look.
- DGDawn GooderhamNov 14, 20251.0The receptionists was rude and yelling at me because I questioned their “mandatory” retinal imaging requirement that costs $39. I was told that it was not optional, but that their office made it part of their “routine eye exam” and that I either paid it or take my 17 year old somewhere else. I had questions on how they could make it mandatory and their receptionist (female) went off on me and told me that the discussion was over and that she was not going to discuss it any further. Will NEVER come back here again. Would have left but needed to get this done - my mother had just had a stroke and I am her caretaker. Did not have time to try and get in somewhere else. My daughter had off school and I had to take advantage of that and a caretaker for my mother.

The other staff were friendly, throughout, and very helpful. I haven't had new glasses in approx 4 years and then helped me figure out what options were best for me. I hadn't had my eyes examined for quite some time and I noticed that I needed higher powered lenses for my glasses. I also needed plano contacts for my costume, but I couldn't buy contacts without a prescription, so I decided to get my eyes examined (finally!). I read many complaints about the retinal exam. Honestly, I had no problem with it, just that it was a little uncomfortable, especially with that very bright green light. Otherwise, I considered it just a routine exam. Yes, I certainly needed more power for my glasses. This time, however, I also went for blue light filter because looking at my phone tended to hurt my eyes after. Dr. Miller also recommended Refresh Digital for my dry eyes, since I was complaining about them. I focused more on glasses with just he occasional plano colored contacts. Great experience when I went and I would recommend her to others who need eye exams for glasses and contacts. Thank you, Dr. Miller! (Not to mention aside from the exam, very quick verification of my prescription when I ordered contacts online)
