This urgent care is friendly, clean and prompt. There was a delay with the PA as a result of a technical difficulty but they were sure to share that and kept me up to date. They are efficient in Their services.
I will preface with the fact that I had the misfortune of going to this urgent care on Easter. However, I was confident in my need for an antibiotic and was hopeful that by going on Sunday I would avoid missing much work on Monday. I was wrong.
Becky at reception was wonderful. She was kind, welcoming, and communicated well. I was called back quickly by what appeared to be an MA; she didn't introduce herself. She hand wrote my vitals, medications, and health history on a form, which seemed odd to me. I'm used to the provider having some sort of device to input into a medical chart. I guess it doesn't matter because she didn't let me finish my medication list but cut me off to ask a question about a different topic. When I answered, she left.
In comes the physician. I think he did introduce himself but I can't recall his name because I was more focused on how miserable he looked to be there. Again, I understand it's Easter so I try to keep things light. I explain my situation - that I was at a different urgent care earlier where my daughter was diagnosed with conjunctivitis, and that I had the same eye discharge overnight which made sense because I put her to bed last night so I was laying on her pillow... and the first thing the physician says is "I don't see anything." As I've shown, I'm an understanding person. At that time there was no visible discharge coming from my eyes. But the immediate dismissal of my report was very off putting. He continued on about how I should be presenting if I had conjunctivitis to the point that I said, "I certainly don't want to have it, so if you say I don't that's great news for me." He quickly looked at my eyes and confirmed that my eyes look fine. He said he can only do with what's in front of him, which I get. I don't understand how there would be no evidence, but I'm not a doctor. When I asked for his recommendation of what to do if the discharge returns he said, "take a picture." 👍🏻
I've also been dealing with an upper respiratory virus for a week that isn't improving, so I brought it up. He listened to my lungs and checked my throat. Made the comment, "Your tonsils are very large" and then said I was on the other side of it. OH my favorite part of the entire visit was when the physician asked me if I was a smoker with no context except for my raspy voice and deep cough.
Going to this urgent care was an absolute waste of my time and money. They sent a discharge summary that states something like "health examination visit with no abnormal findings." I will be ticked if my insurance denies the claim because it looks like it was unnecessary. I chose to go to this location because of the positive reviews, but I am very disappointed in my experience.

I was in and out in no time! Super grateful for an immediate treatment of a bad case of poison ivy. The staff were kind and efficient. This is my go-to place for urgent care! Thank you!

The building is nice and new, the receptionist was exceptionally kind and sweet. Nurse was a peach, also incredibly caring and sweet. Nothing wrong with the doctor I saw, she just wasn't quite my personal cup of tea. She got the job done and I was in and out super quickly. I'm only removing a star because they do not have a pharmacy on site, and that kind of makes or breaks an urgent care for me. No one wants to feel like crap at urgent care just to drive to CVS, and feel like crap for another 2 hours while they putter around.
I'd definitely go back if it's for a physical, or something that doesn't require a prescription.

I’ve be been to first Care in the past but not AFC. The check in staff was very courteous. The Doctor was very kind, and listened attentively as I presented my symptoms. I didn’t feel rushed . He game me the diagnosis and we talked about the medication that I was going to have filled. I was concerned about the one allergy that I have to antibiotics.. He reassured me that the drug he was prescribing was very safe and I should have no problem.
I must say I was very fortunate to have had him as my physician last night. He understood my
Apprehension. I was not questioning his knowledge, but came from a place of general fear. The medical profession needs more doctors with his approach of treating the “whole person.”
