I gave a second star only because I got my meds on time, most of the time.
I have received some of the poorest care in my life from this group.
I only saw the Dr. once and his English was difficult to understand.
After that, I saw his daughter, the PA. (I often like PAs). She never took time with me or got to know me.
She has PA students conduct her phone appointments and then never calls back, as promised, to have your actual appointment.
No one in the office picks up the phone and no one returns messages for days, if at all.
After many days of leaving messages, I finally told them they could not bill without seeing the patient, I got a literal 3 minute call from the PA, during which she raised her voice and said “What do you want from me, I called in your meds.” She had not. It took another week of myself calling and the pharmacy contacting them before her father, the actual Dr., finally called in my meds.
This was far from an isolated incident, just the last straw.
They were also over medicating me. I had to have my pcp help me get off of things that did nothing for me, because I could not get anyone in my psychiatrist’s office to speak with me.
On therapy…
They claim to offer, and very much pushed for me to see their therapist for EMDR therapy, which they had been advertising and suggesting for quite a while. I finally agreed. After 2 months, she still had not bothered to set up the machine. So, no one could have been getting the therapy.
They also claim to offer Spravato treatment. I inquired at least 5 times. Every time, I just got a complaint about how much paperwork it would require and no one bothered to do it for me to have the treatment.
It took me a while to find another doctor, but I finally did and the difference is night and day.

I’ve had such a great experience here. The providers are incredibly kind and compassionate. Larissa and Sumiyah really take the time to understand your needs and approach your care in a thoughtful and personalized way. Dr. Shaikh is a wonderful psychiatrist who is attentive, knowledgeable, and someone who truly cares about his patients. It was also very easy to get onboarded as a new patient, which made the whole process feel smooth and easy.

Stay away from this practice.
They gave my son Abilify to help control his behaviors (OCD, aggression). After 2 or 3 months of using the medication, my son started a severe self-injurious behavior. I called Stepping Stones to let them know what happened and the only thing I was told was to keep giving him the medication and wait for the next appointment. After a second self-injurious incident, we called many times but they never called back.
Since we didn't get any help we had to use google to do our research which indicated that Abilify can bring on self-injurious behaviors. While side affects cannot be predicted, what the doctor has to do is know how to manage it and Stepping Stones left us hanging. This was just plain unprofessional and uncaring.
We also called our insurance company and filed a complaint.

My experience with Stepping Stones has been wonderful. Sumiyah is the PA, but is as knowledgeable as any MD I have seen in the past. She has worked with me from the very beginning to take care of several psychiatric issues. I highly recommend this medical practice to anyone and I thank them with all my heart.
