I visited this location for the first time on April 1st, and the experience was completely unacceptable from start to finish. The moment I walked in, someone from across the far end of the room asked me why I was there. That is incredibly unprofessional. Then, despite having an appointment, I was left waiting over 12 minutes past my scheduled time while being the only person in the waiting area. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of delay. The worst part was the blatant dishonesty during the exam. When I was taken back for retinal imaging, I clearly and repeatedly stated that I did NOT want the test if it cost extra. I was told multiple times that it was “included” and not an additional charge. That turned out to be completely false. I was charged extra anyway. That is not a misunderstanding—that is misleading and deceptive. Charging patients for services they explicitly declined, after assuring them it wouldn’t cost extra, is completely unacceptable and shady business practice. I will never return here, and I strongly warn others to be extremely cautious. Double-check everything and do not trust what you’re told about pricing—you may end up with hidden charges you never agreed to.

We were greeted as we walked in the door. Our sales agent was friendly, highly competent, and patient. LensCrafters is better than the places we have been before.

Visiting from hours away and I broke my glasses. I stopped in and asked for help and was met with an instant smile and very polite, willing, eager response. Andrew disappeared with my broken glasses and about 4 minutes later reappeared with a perfect fitting, fixed, and polished pair!! No charge, just a smile and well wish! Made my day!!

I went to the Bridgeport LensCrafters because I got a pair of glasses online from another vendor and they still adjusted them for me for free. Caroline was so helpful and so kind and let me know that they can adjust when needed. I will be a LensCrafters customer for life just because of that amazing customer service.

Hunter was absolutely amazing. We only had to make my lenses one time and normally I have to have my lenses made between two and 11 times. He was very patient and very thorough. This man needs a raise.P

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
