First visit and wow it was awesome, this is the place to go if you’re nervous about going to the dentist . Great bedside manner and gives positive feedback and conversations. The staff took great care of me and spent extra time explaining everything. Thank you

Went here for my son’s dental emergency as our regular dentist was closed. My son had a filling on a front tooth that broke. They were recommending a crown to be done and it was several hundred dollars that insurance didn’t cover. I’m glad we waited to see our regular dentist because he recommended not doing a crown until my son is 18 as the crown would likely need replacing before then if we had done it. I’m glad I went with my gut and walked out as my son wasn’t in any pain, definitely saved my wallet from an unnecessary expense.

I have been going to dr Shakespeare for years now and was happy with the whole team until they moved into their new building. Its impersonal now, and I feel like I'm at the DMV. I'm very disappointed with them, and if it weren't for Becky, the hygienist, I would change dental offices. They're paying for their new building at the patient's expense.

Very friendly and professional. Even though I was in pain I enjoyed the visit. Did not have an appointment, it was on a Sunday, 3 hours after calling I was seen and the wisdom tooth was pulled the same day. It was a quick visit, approximately 1 hour. Did not feel pressured, questions were answered. Office hours are flexible. I have scheduled appointments to continue as a patient. Highly recommended to friends and family. Even though I need more work done on my teeth I look forward to being seen by Dr. Lee at McKenzie Dental Center.

First the positives. The office is very clean, spacious, and and inviting. With one notable exception, all of the staff were friendly and professional. I felt the dental exam that I received was one of the most thorough I’ve ever had and the explanations that Dr. Lee gave were clear and understandable. I also really appreciate the weekend availability for appointments since it’s challenging for me to take time off of work. Now for the negatives, and I’m giving this more feedback to the dental practice in particular. The onboarding process for new patients needs some work. I knew I was transferring over to this practice and told my old dentist to release my records when they were requested. When I called to set up an appointment, I asked McKenzie Dental to contact my old dentist and request my records. I was surprised when I showed up for my appointment and they were recommending x-rays that I didn’t need because I had some from my previous dentist. Not having dental insurance, this was additional expense, not to mention an unnecessary medical procedure. When I asked why they hadn’t obtained my records as requested I was told it was my responsibility to get them. I was pretty surprised by this because typically the communication goes between medical providers and I’m not expected to show up with my paper records in hand. When I asked why this wasn’t clearly communicated to me when I asked them to obtain my records on the phone the front desk person then offered to cancel my appointment if I was unhappy with their service. I felt like this was awful customer service – I’ve gotten up early to come to this appointment and rather than taking any sort of accountability you’re essentially telling me you don’t want my business. Fortunately, the rest of my experience there was quite positive and I will be returning.
