My brother had a debilitating stroke over 30 years ago. Zane is Incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and stayed right with my brother until he knew exactly how to operate the chair. He's a keeper for sure!!

He fit me into my chair by back, arm and head adjustments to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be and we even almost high fived! Good experience, hope everyone lucks out getting this guy and this company, everyone worked a long time dealing with my insurance and jumping through hoops to make sure I got the chair that suits me best, make sure it does what I needed, little modifications meant just for me and my overall comfortɓ and all I had to do is recieve the chair and start enjoying. Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
