I loved this Lens Crafters / Eye Focus NW location. I came in for an exam appointment with Dr. Mark. He was incredibly kind, professional and made the process a breeze. I love when doctors explain things to me in layman’s terms and give a realistic approach. I work in the medical field and can say that Dr. Mark is a GEM. He explained what the prescription meant and interpreted the test results in a way that was easy to understand to somebody who’s never worn glasses before.
My good experience doesn’t stop there! I loved the two women at the front desk also. I can’t remember their names to save my life, but both younger with dark hair. One of them preformed my pre-exam and explained all of the steps that would take place as we went. They no longer have to dilate the eyes with solution and instead use a new technology which I really appreciated.
As for the LC staff, they were phenomenal. Delaney helped me choose some glasses for my new prescription and were the furthest thing from sales-y. If they do get commission, you’d never know because the interaction felt SO authentic. I tried on several pairs that weren’t doing it for me, and even the staff were encouraging me to continue looking through the selection because the fit wasn’t quite right based on their experience, while suggesting alternatives that would suit me better. The last pair I tried, Delaney and Sara turned around and went “Yes!! Those!!” and I completely agreed.
One last comment that I think is super worthy of praise - during my short visit, I witnessed two things that will make me come back again:
1) I saw a staff member politely refuse a tip from a pt. and instead ask for a review if they were happy with their experience.
2) Another previous pt. came in and only had to state once that they didn’t want to be helped and wanted privacy while shopping - the staff were so respectful and didn’t approach her once.
As you can probably tell, I can’t rave about my experience enough. So happy this business partners with Kaiser and I’m so grateful for the care I received. 🖤

Horrible Selection, & a very unfriendly ethnic woman who acted like i was ruining her break.
I called the day before, asking specifically, for glasses with specific features. I was assured on the phone that there was a decent selection available with said features.
So, we made an appointment for the next day @1.
5 minutes before my appointment i went in only to be told my person wasn't there, or this lady was trying to scalp/take someone else's customer. So, i asked her to show me the glasses with my specs, only to be instantly shot down.
It was the 5th place I'd been hunting, already over it, then that.
DON'T BOTHER!
I went to Costco instead and Scored 2 perfect pairs!!!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
