I had a truly awful experience with Dr. Ball and his office. Originally starting at Northwest Spine Surgery then moving to Rose city Spine Surgery. He was incredibly rude during my appointments, often just staring at me in silence as if waiting for me to say something. I was there to understand the next steps in my treatment and how my back injury was progressing, but he never provided clear answers.
One of the most troubling experiences was with a myelogram procedure. Dr. Ball told me it would be a simple X-ray with contrast, something I had done before. However, what I actually underwent was far more invasive, including a needle in my spinal cord, which resulted in a CSF leak. I ended up in the ER unable to walk or move. When I brought this up to him, he blamed me for the situation, claiming that he had warned me about the risks. But he had never prepared me for what actually occurred. He also seemed baffled that I was referred to a different doctor for the procedure, as he usually performs it on his patients.
I underwent multiple procedures, none of which helped, and I was continuously charged hundreds of dollars for being "seen" without receiving any useful information or care. My last appointment was particularly frustrating. Dr. Ball didn't explain anything about my back injury or what the next steps should be.
To make matters worse, I recently received a bill for nearly $700 for that visit, despite not receiving any real care. Dr. Ball and Rose City Spinal Surgery are a scam. Their office staff is unhelpful and takes months to respond—if they respond at all. I would never recommend this practice to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
