I love how inclusive it feels. As a queer, gender non conforming person I was always intimidated by gym culture and workout studios because I thought I would feel out of place but at Pure Barre, everyone is so welcoming and kind. I love that I see all types of people there including in the teaching staff!

Buyer beware. When my schedule changed and I attempted to cancel my membership, I was informed that I would be charged for an additional full month regardless of whether I used the classes. What turned a routine cancellation into a negative experience was not the existence of policies, but the way the situation was handled. Communication was delayed, dismissive, and unhelpful, and reasonable questions about options or accommodations were repeatedly met with deflection rather than engagement. The studio owner’s public response to this review further illustrates the issue. Instead of addressing concerns about communication and professionalism, it speculates about my motives, references my class bookings, and characterizes me as attempting to “take advantage” of a promotion. That framing is inaccurate and unnecessary. I was willing to adhere to the terms of the agreement and downgraded my membership in good faith when my schedule changed. The issue was never avoiding obligations — it was the lack of respectful, straightforward communication. Publicly calling out individual customers by name and assigning intent, rather than resolving matters privately and professionally, is concerning. This experience felt far removed from the community-focused, supportive environment the brand promotes and instead reflected rigid enforcement paired with poor customer care. Prospective members should read cancellation and downgrade terms very carefully and consider how issues are handled if circumstances change.

I had an overall negative experience here. Despite this business having an overwhelmingly high number of five-star reviews, I would encourage folks to read the fine print carefully before signing up (especially if you’re doing so after an exhausting workout, which is incentivized). Do not expect much grace if you end up needing to cancel. Based on my experience, the policy is enforced very strictly, with no flexibility or discretion. That said the instructors were great and classes were fine.

I had such an amazing experience with the sales rep Liz G. who introduced me to my very first class here! She gave me an excellent tour of the studio, explained everything so clearly, and made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked in. Her energy and warmth really set the tone, I instantly love the vibes at Pure Barre. After the class, she followed up and helped me sign up for a membership and I felt genuinely excited ( I felt no pressure at all). Because of her, I’ve been telling so many people about Pure Barre and encouraging them to try it. Truly, such a great first impression and experience! Thank you, Liz!!

I recently started going to Pure Barre on Northeast Broadway, and I was immediately hooked! The entire team is super friendly and welcoming. My first class was a quick 30-minute intro that gave me a taste of all the different workouts, and by the end, I was dripping sweat! I now attend classes almost daily and even upgraded to the unlimited package because it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve tried many other workouts before, but Pure Barre is by far the best. The staff genuinely care about getting to know you, and it’s easy to make new friends. I’ve also visited the Progress Ridge location, and they’re just as welcoming there. It was so thoughtful that they remembered my name by my second visit, and by my tenth class, I even got a cute gym bag! If you’re considering trying Pure Barre, definitely go for the first free class. I’m certain you’ll fall in love with it just like I did!
