I've been doing reformer for a few years now and love to try different studios throughout Toronto and Etobicoke. I came across Club Pilates Junction and decided to try their 3 month trial. I was really unimpressed. The studio is clean and tidy, I appreciated coming into an environment like that, and they were helpful in being able to move a class that was unused to the following month. I found the classes to be extremely easy. If I'm being transparent, the classes came across as if we're doing Pilates because its "trendy". Not that it was a scam by any means, but it just felt like the classes were very mundane and basic, I never felt as if I ever got a true, genuine workout. I always left feeling dissatisfied and thinking "that's it?". I also found that the class details were a bit unclear and misleading. I understand classes can be a blend of chair, mat, and reformer, but I found we were doing more work with/on everything else, besides the reformer. This also plays into the studio/classes feeling "gimmicky" and just wanting to follow a trend. I understand that there are other class levels for people to attend, but I found those classes to be extremely limited and/or in the middle of the day, when most people work. I didn't see or it was extremely rare, to see a higher intensity class being offered in the evenings, I only ever saw it during the week, around the late morning into middle/late afternoon. Its a bit unfair that those who are unable to go at those times are restricted in advancing with their fitness. I felt extremely limited in what classes I could schedule. I found that I was booking the classes to make sure I wouldn't lose my money, rather then wanting to get a true genuine, hardworking workout in. Now, I'm not sure if their schedule has changed or updated, but I am going off of what I experienced at the time I was attending. As well, the sessions for instructor approval to move up into the higher classes was only offered if I remember correctly, again at times that were not accommodating to a variety of availabilities. Ultimately, the lack of higher intensity class offerings as well as the impression I got from the classes was what made me leave. I would have appreciated having more variety in classes as I would have loved to take a higher intensity/more difficult class.

Great studio! The staff are exceptionally friendly and the instructors are very knowledgeable and intentional in their practices. They’ve managed to build a positive, unpretentious and welcoming community which I’ve enjoyed being a part of. It has been a great addition to my weekly routine.

Fantastic studio!! The classes are great with varied exercises and levels, and the instructors are amazing (my fav are Danielle and Jodi). They've also built a great sense of community there, students who are encouraging and celebrate each other's milestones and achievements in class together. The studio is also run by a fantastic group of super friendly and helpful people and I love that they frequently have some sort of fun event! Overall A++++, would highly recommend :)
