    I had my eye exam with Dr. Joanna, and she was very thorough and explained everything clearly. Shiva helped me choose my glasses frames and was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.

    Shiva at Specsavers Hillcrest Mall is an excellent employee. Her customer service, professionalism, patience and attention to detail made purchasing my glasses a great experience. I would highly recommend Specsavers for their quality of glasses and pricing but especially great staff!!

    I had a terrible experience with Specsavers and will never shop there again. I purchased two pairs of glasses — one for distance and one for reading. The distance pair is fine, but the reading glasses are a complete disaster. They hurt my eyes every single time I wear them. On top of that, the nose pads are extremely uncomfortable and leave marks, making them almost impossible to use for more than a few minutes. When I checked the Specsavers website, I saw their so-called “no hassle return policy.” Based on that, I called the Hillcrest Mall location where I purchased them. I explained the issue clearly over the phone, and I was told, “No problem, just bring them in and you can choose any pair you want — we’ll exchange them for free.” This was the day after I picked them up. I had to rearrange my busy schedule to make another trip to the store. But when I finally got there, the story completely changed. Instead of honoring what I was told, they immediately tried to blame my prescription rather than the glasses. I was told I needed to go back to the optometrist and recheck my prescription. That is unacceptable. I don’t have time to start running around for appointments because of their mistake. I used my insurance benefits to purchase these glasses, and now my coverage is used up for the next two years. I’m essentially stuck, out of insurance money, and left with a pair of glasses I can’t even wear comfortably. This experience was frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of time. I already threw the glasses away out of frustration, and I will never step foot in another Specsavers store again. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone — not even to my worst enemy. Absolutely awful customer service and completely misleading policies.

    I booked myself and my husband for an eye exam on Saturday morning. The staff and Dr Ramani did a thorough job for the exam. However, I'm taking stars off on my review because the lady that was helping us at the front was able to bill my insurance for the exam but not my husband. She told my husband to pay upfront then the insurance company will reimburse us - sure, fine. Only to realize today that my husband's exam was never sent to my insurance company. When I looked back at the receipt given to us, I noticed a red flag that should not have happened because of patient confidentiality. Another patient's insurance was billed for my husband's exam and the receipt given to us has that person's information (name and insurance information). I know it's fine since that person's insurance will obviously not cover my husband's eye exam, but it's the fact that we were given a receipt with someone else's information that should be confidential. It makes me worried how many times this has happened to others and how many times this will happen again in the future, as someone can easily use this information for insurance fraud - SCARY! After this experience, we learned to continue going to our regular eye place. I just hope our information won't be used and given to someone else like this other person's was given to us.

    Shiva was AMAZING! Her customer service is top notch! While she was assisting me a customer walked into the store and DEMANDED service .. Shiva politely said that she would be with her as soon as she was finished with the customer she was helping (me). The woman was SO rude to Shiva and I had to Control my own emotions to not say anything to that rude person! The woman DEMANDED to speak with the manager and demanded to know Shivas name ! Shiva did nothing wrong ! What is wrong with humans nowadays?? I felt so bad for Shiva! So please know I received excellent service and Shiva deserves a raise for her composure!
