Terrible customer experience. I still didn’t receive my glasses even after almost a month. I followed up multiple times and every time I was told that it had already been shipped and that I should receive it in a few days. But that never happened.
I was also told a few times that someone would check and call me back within 30 minutes, but no one ever called back. During my last call, the person who answered was quite impolite and said they didn’t know any details about the glasses and mentioned that shipments come from Montreal or the U.S. and that it can take time.
This was frustrating because when I placed the order I was clearly told that I would receive the glasses within two weeks. Something that should have been simple turned into me trying to figure out where the glasses were coming from and waiting indefinitely.
Because of this, I decided to cancel the order. I went to the store to do that, and surprisingly they then realized the glasses were already there. No one seemed to know what had happened. At that point, I decided not to collect them because I don’t want to deal with this kind of poor customer service again.

Here are some factors to consider when ordering at this location:
- If you prefer doing your own thing by picking out your own frames with little to no assistance, you will have a good experience.
- If you have a strong prescription, your lenses will be thick even when purchasing the 1.67 and being assured prior to purchasing that they will be thinned down.
- They charge $40 for their 1 year warranty, which leads me to believe they do not stand behind their products.
- They do not call you when your glasses are ready.
- They will insist on you taking your glasses home even when expressing any issues upon pick up. We knew as soon as we took them out of the store, we would be stuck with them.
- The Customer Service on the main website is pretty much useless and they will brush off any concerns/issues you have with the store. They also do not contact you directly, you have to follow up with them.
We did end up getting a refund with the help of one nice girl, however the manager was clearly avoiding us and stood at the back of the store the entire time.
**Overall experience 0/10 and will never order from them again.

This store has not been very helpful ever since the sale was finished. Since pick up, my partner had issues with his Oakley metal frame. First instance, his nose pads fell and he visited the store to replace it. They apparently "did not have the nose pads for his frame". I had to replace his nose pads elsewhere.
After a few months, we noticed discoloration on his frame. We decided to visit the store, hoping to ask if the frame could be replaced under manufacturer warranty. Frame defects within a few months of purchase is not acceptable. We were told to "contact Oakley ourselves and express our concerns". The stores optician here is not helpful and is very argumentative.
I am quite familiar with warranties in the field and I am shocked to receive this type of service from Lens Crafters. The sole purpose of our visit here was because this store is a 2 mins drive from where we live. I will definitely not be returning here and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had a great experience at the LensCrafters in Oshawa and want to thank Zahra for her amazing service. My vision prescription is quite strong, so finding the right lenses is really important to me. Zahra was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to help me understand my options so I could choose the best pair.
She truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident with my purchase. It was such a pleasant experience, and I will definitely be coming back here every time I need a new pair of glasses.

Today I had the dreaded eye exam. Braced myself expecting to hear horrible news but it turned out great, instead. My eye sight declined slightly despite all the changes that’s happened in the past year, so I decided to immediately get my prescription updated.
In comes Zara from LensCrafters to help me choose a frame that not only suits my face but also my budget. Not once did she attempt to upsell me. Gave me options that were all within budget and style. She listened when I said I didn’t like certain styles. I appreciated that as she was not wasting my time. I’ve found my new “person” at LensCrafters Oshawa Mall.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
