I have had a very negative experience with Clearly at Square One. I ordered my daughter‘s glasses on November 27 for a Christmas present and was told they would be ready in two weeks. I called at the three week mark as I hadn’t heard anything and they said that they were going to be ready the following Friday, which was the last Friday before Christmas. I called on Friday Dec 19 and they then told me that they weren’t in and they will be in on Monday Dec 22 and they would courier them directly to my house so I would have them in time for Christmas. I called on the Tuesday Dec 23 because they never arrived again and they said that they weren’t going to be in now until December 27. So I didn’t have them in time for Christmas even though I ordered them 4 1/2 weeks in advance. My daughter called on December 29 as she wanted to go pick them up and they still aren’t ready and now have said that they are going to be ready on January 3. I was also sent a link after I purchased my glasses to leave a review. I kept the link to wait and see what the full experience was like. I went to fill out the link and now it says it has expired so I couldn’t leave a review with the company. This is why I’m leaving this review. I am very disappointed with doing business at the store and if I go in January 3 to pick up my glasses and they are not ready then I’m just going to get my money back and I will never deal with this company again. So no, I do not recommend doing business at clearly as they are not honest about when or if you will receive your product.

I am so happy with the entire experience. Mojdeh was amazing, patient, friendly, and truly professional. I can be a bit picky, but she handled everything with a warm smile and superb service. She helped me find exactly what I wanted and made the whole process enjoyable. It was truly one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time.
If anyone wants to get prescription glasses, make sure to ask for Mojdeh you won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommended

I bought glasses for my child about 4month ago... Today the frame just decided to do a stress fracture.. Took it to square 1 for see what they can do, simple answer send it to the manufacturer for warranty... So i paid all the money for Armani frames and you want me to do all the work to get my glasses fixed...Why did i pay all this money if your company will not warranty the product... If you are thinking of buying from this place just run to somewhere else. as they will not warranty anything and they send you to a third party that will not warranty.. If i could give a zero rating i would...

When I used to come here the service was great. I always bought my frames and lenses here because they were affordable and good quality. This time I was told they no longer sell their own brand in the store and that I had to buy the glasses online. I could not even try on the frames in person because they do not carry them anymore, and the online filter does not help at all.
I told them I would just buy the same frames I already own online. They never told me that I needed my pupillary distance measured in person. When I called to ask if I could come in to get it done they said no and told me I needed a full exam from their optometrist. That is not true. I have my prescription and they can see it if they need to, but you do not need an exam to measure pupillary distance. It is done with a small device that you look into for a few seconds.
They refused to do it unless I paid for an exam. So I had to drive from Mississauga to Toronto to my ophthalmologist office to get it measured. They did not ask for my prescription. It was not even my ophthalmologist who measured it. The whole thing took less than ten minutes. The ophthalmologist told me it was very odd that they refused to do it and said I should not return to a place that tries to charge for something that does not need an exam.
Frequently Asked Questions About For Eyes By Clearly
How do I know if my child needs glasses?
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
