Had excellent help from the staff at Square one when getting my eye exam and felt absolutely no pressure to even look at the glasses afterwards unlike some other places. They had some awesome deals so i took a look around and immediately found 2 pairs that looked great and fit well. Aarati worked with me in finding the best deals for my needs and was able to help me acquire all the specifications i was looking to get for my lenses. Aarati was very kind, knowledgable and patient and I recommend visiting this location if you want to have a smooth and pleasant experience.

My family and I have been Dr. Sekhon's patients for a long time—we even chased him to his newer office! He's got tons of experience and is always patient with my elderly parents (huge win in my book). I trust him and am thrilled that he's my forever eye doctor! The sweet lady who helped me pick out glasses (blanking on her name) was super nice too. Thanks, everyone! You're the best!

I have visited Dr Sekhon over the years and he has always provided great service. During my last visit at Specsavers ,he explained my eye health in a way that was easy to understand and never made me feel rushed. I left feeling confident and impressed with the overall care. My appointment started on time and the whole experience was wonderful. Highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality care.

I met with Dr. Sekhon recently for an eye exam and to discuss ongoing concerns I have been experiencing with my eyes. My focus for the appointment was to talk about these symptoms, understand why I have been feeling them, and find out what might be contributing to them. During the appointment, I mentioned that I wear blue-light blocking prescription glasses because they help relieve and provide much needed comfort and support for some of the things I’ve been experiencing with my eyes. Not thinking anything by sharing this information, the optometrist’s immediate response was to tell me that “there is no evidence showing that blue light damages the eyes.” I had not mentioned anything about blue-light damage or research. I was describing my personal experience, the relief and comfort I feel when wearing them. I repeated how they help with some of the things I’ve been experiencing but his next response was, “I just wanted to let you know there is no evidence that…” sharing more information about what the science said. It felt as if he needed to say that, even though it was unrelated and irrelevant to what I was sharing. Having that be the first and repeated response made the interaction feel dismissive, despite how unrelated it was to my personal use and the information I had shared about how this type of lens helps me. He later explained that he gives this same information to people who mention they use blue-light blocking glasses, assuming that everyone uses them to prevent blue-light damage. That assumption overshadowed what I was actually saying and created a disconnect in the conversation. Later on in our exchange, as more information was discussed and I kept sharing how my glasses help with the various things I have been experiencing, he shared information about the tint in these types of lenses that was helping with what I was describing. There are real benefits to wearing blue-light blocking glasses, and his immediate first response took away from this. That is exactly the kind of information that would have been valuable to hear first. It would have affirmed what I already knew from my own experience and helped me understand in clearer detail why the glasses offer the relief that they do, rather than being told there is no evidence to support something that was unrelated to what I was sharing. Instead of assuming everyone wears these glasses for the same reason or giving ‘general’ information, it would be more ‘meaningful’ to first ask why a person uses them and then respond based on their ‘individual’ experience. Not every general statement is relevant. Assuming that it is can easily leave patients feeling dismissed and generalized. While he did take the time to listen and gain a better understanding of what I have been navigating with my eyes and provided valuable direction, that particular part of our conversation left me feeling the need to defend my lived experience and the personal benefit I have had from something, despite what claims or research may say that were never part of the discussion to begin with. While the initial pre-eye exam tests done by the optometrist’s assistants were carried out with care and patience, the actual eye exam with the optometrist felt rushed and a bit frazzled, and I didn’t feel confident in how it was done. The assistants took their time, which made the process feel careful and attentive, but with the optometrist, the exam felt mechanical, quick, and a bit detached, with a hint of impatience in how it was done. At one point, he had me looking into the machine and asking me to identify what I saw while also asking a separate question. As I tried to focus on what I was seeing to answer the first question, he repeated the second one, essentially looking for two answers at once. That part of the exam felt rushed and, for him, may have been a routine process he’s done a thousand times, but to a patient, it lacks presence and consideration for the fact that the experience isn’t familiar. It left me uncertain about how accurate or thorough the results really were.
