I went to LensCrafters in Markham last week to get prescription lenses for my Meta RayBan glasses, and I just want to say a big thank you to Aida who helped me out that day. She was honestly one of the nicest people I’ve met in customer service. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a smile and was super friendly. I wasn’t even sure what kind of lenses I needed for my Meta glasses, but she took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood all the options.
She helped me choose the right prescription lenses that would work perfectly with my RayBan frames. She really knew what she was doing and made the whole process simple and stress free. She also told me about the promotion they had, and I ended up getting 50% off, which made a huge difference. I only had to pay half the amount, and I appreciated that she mentioned the discount right away because she could have easily not said anything, but she was honest and helpful the entire time.
When it came time to pay, she explained the charges and everything matched perfectly on the receipt. I paid with my Visa in two transactions, and she made sure it all went smoothly. The whole visit was very organized and professional, and she kept a positive attitude the whole time. You could tell she really cares about her job and her customers.
It’s been a week now, and they called me today to let me know my prescription lenses are ready. They finished them fast, and I’m impressed with how efficient they were. The whole experience from start to finish has been smooth, and I feel confident because of how well everything was handled.
Overall, my experience at LensCrafters Markham was excellent because of Aida. She’s very professional, kind, and respectful. It’s rare these days to find someone who actually takes their time to help you properly and still manages to be so friendly about it. I definitely recommend going there and asking for Aida if you need help with your glasses or lenses. She really made my day, and I’m very happy with the service.

It was my first time visiting LensCrafters since I’d never worn glasses before, and it would be my first time wearing glasses, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Almost as soon as I walked in, Allan greeted me with a warm welcome and made me feel completely at ease. He went out of his way to make sure my experience was enjoyable, helping me feel comfortable and not overwhelmed by the huge selection of frames at LensCrafters. Allan helped me in choosing the right frames and explained everything I needed to know without making me feel rushed. Thanks to him, I was able to customize my glasses based on my personal and daily needs!
Another person who was very helpful during my visit was Yan. As the optician, Yan helped me finalize my glasses and made sure everything fit perfectly. Yan also double-checked the prescription details and lens alignment to make sure everything matched perfectly with my vision needs. Overall, I am very pleased with my visit here!

This store is very disorganized. From the start I had a bad feeling as they are always short staffed and the wait to get service is not normal. Once we were attended to we asked about Meta Glasses. We were shown a few frames and selected one. We then paid for the frames and lenses and were told it would be 2 weeks if not sooner. I went conveniently next door for a check up and got a prescription which is extra of course. All in all we were at about $1k for a meta glasses.
After almost three weeks with no contact I called in and was told that the lenses were ready two days after purchase however the frames I selected (Glossy Black) was out of stock and we would need to wait until they were back in stock or settle for matte black. How long would the wait be I asked? No idea was the reply.
Now why would they sell us a frames which was out of stock? They said they didn't know at time of purchase. I was very frustrated as I had to call in to find out this backorder situation to begin with, was never told from the start it was on back order and now I am being told to wait, exchange, or get a refund for the frames and lens. Sadly my check up for the prescription I would need to eat.
I asked for a manager to call me back which has been almost a week now with no call back. I called back again today and since the manager was busy with another customers was told the same story and so I asked for the manager to call me back again. So now I again.... wait.
Who runs such a disorganized business like Lens Crafters at Markville Mall? Who sells frames which are on back order? Who does not call a customer to update them on said back order and forces the customer to call in to find the update? Who treats a customer who is already inconvenienced with such poor service and options?
I always held Lens Crafters up as being one of the best. I guess advertising is the only thing they do right.
I will update this review if anything changes however it seems their attitude is a "take it or leave it" approach when dealing with customer complaints or issues of their own doing.
Very poor attitude to have when a customer is spending almost $1k.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
