We had already had an excellent experience with Home Instead in Toronto and Markham has been just as good. The team is small here but there is always someone on call. And the smaller size means that they really know their clients personally. We receive regular daily written reports which are invaluable when speaking with doctors - we know exactly what is happening which is very important because our relative has short term memory loss so she can't communicate her needs effectively. The team is professional and kind and we are extremely pleased with the quality, patience and professionalism of the caregivers. It is more expensive than in Toronto because of the travel times involved for everyone but we feel it has been worth it and has allowed our relative to remain in her own home which was her goal.
