Needed an emergency pair of glasses and the staff were wonderful at connecting me with local lens labs, especially collaborating with Optical Factory. They personally contacted me to male sure I was connected to OF and was able to get a pair of glasses in time for a conference. I can't thank them enough!!!

Long term customer here. They’re always welcoming and super helpful. Gary’s meticulous assistance, support, and opinion are always on spot! It’s always a pleasure to visit here. Whenever I pass by and my glasses need some tweaking, they’re always welcoming and inviting!
Also, they have Dr. Ehab’s eye clinic here. Very easy to get an eye exam, and Dr. Ehab, is also a very brilliant doctor! This LensCrafters branch is a one-stop for all our vision needs

I’m a loyal customer of 5+ years and have had nothing but positive experiences with LensCrafters in both Waterloo and in Kingston (great teams in both locations, shout-out to Michael, Suhua, Gurdev, Hasanpreet, and others who’s names I don’t recall and who helped me get my glasses in the past). My partner gets their glasses form LensCrafters as well. Also historically great experience. My today’s interaction was surprisingly different.
I was being assisted by a new (?) person on the team (at least I haven’t met them before, but both me and my partner come by every couple months for minor adjustments and/or insurance claims, etc.) and during the chit-chat I was asked what my background was. The answer “engineering” wasn’t deemed satisfactory. I was then asked where I came from. And, as it turned out in the further flow of the conversation, they were surprised that I’m Ukrainian and have lived in Canada for only 5 years, because my accent, although obviously noticeable, is too mild for someone who has arrived so recently. The conclusion was met that I must have spoken English before I made it into Canada. Now that I know that my English is surprisingly good and almost accent-free, I will consider using it to get my prescription glasses elsewhere.
I hope other customers, regardless of their English skills, will not have to go through a similar experience in the future.
The interaction happened 3:36 pm, cashier 3. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember the name of the person assisting me. Michael (the other sales person, I met him before, he’s great) had to log in(?) on the tablet we were using (his credentials were needed for something or other claim processing related?, so his name is on the receipt).

I came in with an idea of what I wanted to buy and a limit on the amount of time I had to purchase it. Michael was phenomenal in helping me find the right products for my needs and wants, swiftly getting all my details, getting my purchase completed, and helping me get on my way ASAP. This was my first time shopping at a LensCrafters. Michael was a commensurate professional, extremely personable, genuine and helpful, and thanks to his dedication I’ll be a LensCrafters loyalist for life. Just fantastic!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
