I was able to book an appointment on Saturday - Dr. Qamaruzzama was extremely professional and conducted a very thorough eye exam. After reviewing my condition, she immediately identified that my cataracts were significantly affecting my quality of life and recommended that I proceed with cataract surgery as soon as possible. This was especially reassuring, as I had previously seen several optometrists over the past year and repeatedly explained that my vision was not improving with glasses. I was consistently told that I was not ready for surgery, despite my vision continuing to worsen. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Qamaruzzama for her expertise, attentiveness, and decisive action, which will allow me to regain my vision and continue working without barriers. The staff at Specsavers were also very supportive and followed up to confirm my appointments, even after I had already heard from the eye clinic. Although I live in Toronto, I will happily continue traveling to Brampton to remain her patient. Thank you to Dr. Qamaruzzama and the entire Specsavers team for such outstanding care.

After waiting, I was asked to wait another 15 minutes, and then again another 15 minutes. The process may be free, but clear and honest communication matters. If the staff knew they couldn’t handle it within the given time, they should have said so upfront instead of repeatedly extending the wait. When I expressed concern, the technician said “If you are in a hurry, you can go to another store.” That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Free service does not mean customers’ time has no value. I expected better customer service and clearer time estimates.
