This is for the Neuro/Pulmonary testing dept on Level B of the St Francis Heart Hospital specifically but there is no way to leave a review just for them.
My minor son, CW, had an EEG scheduled on 11/26 at 1p and our experience with the tech was awful. I did not catch her name, but she is not good with children at all. I suggested she let him know what to expect each step of the way because he has sensory issues and medical anxiety and she barely talked to him. She did not connect with him at all -- no "what school do you go to, do you like it?" Nothing. When she started marking his head for the procedure it was clearly hurting him and after him letting her know she replied with some frustration "it doesn't hurt", which is a ridiculous thing to have said. Because of her cold and impersonal presence things just escalated from there to the point where we had to discontinue the procedure before even finishing the prep stage. Now we are going to have more of an uphill battle with getting other tests done due to his negative experience with the tech.
If you're an adult who doesn't want or need warmth or human connection she will do, but otherwise you might look elsewhere for your testing.
