Wasted hours of my time was trying to get a new donor debit card so I can donate and get funds for donating. Called before I came in and they gave me a vague answer. Went in they were short staffed had me go through the whole new donor process just to tell me they couldn’t give me a card there that I had to call a bank. Something that could have easily been avoided if told on the phone

I donated here for a few months and had a good experience every time. In approx, August, I was put on a 56 day deferral for an exposure at work. It has now been 98 days and I have still not been allowed to donate again and with no explanations or reasons as to why. I have called up there about a dozen times since the 56 days passed and every single time I’m given zero answers. It ranges from “I don’t kno maybe come talk to someone in person” (I’ve done this with no help) to “maybe wait a few more days?” To “maybe the doctor can help but we have no idea when they’ll be here again so I don’t know.” It’s absolutely ridiculous how much effort I’m having to put in just to get zero answers and zero solutions. I am now almost double the allotted time for an exposure and nowhere in sight able to donate again.
Talked to them most recently today and the manager said the doctor has been refusing to sign off for me to donate again for awhile now and that he has no idea why? I asked 1. Why am I not being communicated this information each and every time I have called? I have talked to the manager so many times now and this has never once been relayed to me? 2. Why is the doctor allowed to just choose to not sign off when I followed the protocol and was told I was allowed to donate again no problem after 56 days? The managers response was “I don’t know but you can ask the doctor yourself at 12:30 if you wanna call again.” If the doctor doesn’t sign off, I’m supposedly never allowed to donate ANYWHERE ever again and I can’t even get a response as to why this is happening?
UPDATE:
Called at 12:30 and they said the wasn’t there and to “maybe try again later!” So I called again at 3 and was told he’s doing some training class and can’t talk to me. I was told “he has your contact info and will call you about it.” The doctor did not call me about it, nor does the manager of the building have any idea why I’m still not being signed off or what to do from here as the doctor is clearly ignoring me entirely. The manager also informed me that I’m most likely blocked from giving plasma AT EVERY CENTER POSSIBLE until the doctor signs me off?! So I am not only blocked from Ked but I am blocked but everywhere due to an unknown reason that nobody will answer?!

Be aware if you haven’t been here in 6 months and have to do the new donor process over again. Got there right after they opened, about 7:10 on a Tuesday. I was only the 4th or 5th donor. After trouble with the kiosk I was then told that they can only process 1 new donor per hour and that they already had someone scheduled at 8:00 so I would have to sit and wait, over 90 minutes, with only 3-4 people ahead of me and 4 employees on the donor floor, relaxing and doing nothing. When did this start? What if there were 3 more ahead, would I be told I would have to sit and wait until noon to just start the screening process? You will lose many new donors this way… which is actually probably the goal bc the last time I was able to donate you could tell that every employee there was unhappy and didn’t want to be there. This place was 5 star when they first opened but they lost it quicker than CSL.

They'll let others sit together, just watched the same thing that happened to my wife happen to somebody else, they let her boyfriend sit there with her and go to the nurses office with her, I wasn't allowed to be next to my wife and I was told I had to wait outside by the same lady who just brought the others back, this place chooses who they like, don't matter race or gender, if they like you they do, if they don't they will make your life miserable, maybe if this place wasn't so shitty y'all wouldn't have more 1 star reviews than anything

My experience has been pretty fair there are a few things I don't like but ain't nobody going to change it but other than that genuinely the people are friendly there are some up there that don't know what they're doing but though if you find the people that know what they're doing you're good Sam is excellent she's a tentative you ain't got to see her out when there's something wrong with your machine and she trying to make sure you get in and out man big ups to you Sam thank you she's a true asset
