I mean they kept my husband alive... There was little to no communication from Doctors to the nurse staff, from the nurse staff to each shift. I was having to tell each shift: how many days we were there, what medications and tests that were ordered, that they dumped the urine sample 3 times before testing it!! That my husband wasn't on opioids until the hospital gave him morphine! I had to beg to see test results, only to be told on day 3 that they were all uploaded to his MyChart....that we didn't know he had. I had to argue with one nurse to send paperwork to his primary care physician, then had to get his physician's nurse on the phone to argue with the hospital nurse about said paperwork, it was ridiculous honestly.
Hope my family never gets sick enough to come back here again.
Save yourself some time and just go to Hillcrest in Tulsa. They will make you wait for hours on end and do nothing. After 6 hours of torture in pain and being ignored for 6 hours, I decided to go to Tulsa. They couldn't even give me IV, and I hadn't been able to swallow even saliva in 24 hours. Instead of checking my stomach, they decided to check my heart. Which was fine, so they just let me sit there since I wasnt having a heart attack. After 6 hours, I finally asked how much longer. They said your heart is fine. I said I'm here for my stomach, I can't swallow. Oh, you want your stomach checked, we can start over. No thank you. My son took me to Hillcrest in Tulsa, I was in and out in two hours. They unblocked my pipe, did an MRI , found what was wrong gave me a referral and a script and I was out in 2 hours. Why would someone wanna travel on a Greyhound bus, when they can take a first class flight. That was the difference between SF and HMC. Night and day.

They will let you die waiting. They just don't care. I waited for 6 hours in the emergency room . Told them I couldn't swallow for 24 hours, and pressure in my stomach, probably hiatal hernia as it runs in the family. I'm on keto, so not a lot of excess fluid in my body . Told them I was having a panic attack too, and it felt like someone was squeezing my heart.
Looking back, my big mistake was mentioning my panic attack, they disregarded everything I said prior, didn't even write it down. Took me straight back and checked my heart. Of course it was ok. Do I guess they put my in the back of the line.
Six hours of torture in pain waiting....now my head feels like it's gonna blow off. Did they start a fluid IV. No. Didn't write it down. My lips are starting to crack. I finally go ask how much longer. I was in tears and spitting in a puke bag the whole time. Asked if there was somewhere I could lie down. No, these are the chairs we got .
Asked them how much longer, oh your hearts ok. What about my stomach, I can't swallow. Oh that's not on your chart. Did you need your stomach checked? We can start over.
Honestly run like a free clinic by people from the DMV.
My son took me to Hillcrest where the instantly put in a IV, gave my some stuff to swallow that tasted like kerosene and relaxed smy stomach and did an MRI.
Two hours, and they all were so long.
Ten stars for Hillcrest.
I wish I could give SF zero stars. They are a disgrace.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I've been waiting here for more than 4 hours. Other people have been waiting here longer than I and all we needed was get our results. I understand people came in with urgent things but not all the people that went ahead of us were urgent. If you gave us our results, then we could get out of yalls hair. This is ridiculous! Plus 1 of your nurses, seems so upset that onlept asking questions. Mayne don't hire people like that.
