This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. I was told by another urgent care to go to the Saint Francis location in Glenpool because it would supposedly be cheaper and they might accept my insurance. When I arrived, I asked the front desk if they accepted my insurance, but they said someone inside would help me. I called my mom because she had my insurance information, and while I was trying to figure it out, the nurses were extremely rude, arrogant, and rushing me. One staff member even said, “Aren’t you an adult? You can do this on your own,” and almost tried to grab my phone to hang up while I was talking to my mom. This was my first time going to an actual ER and I'm 20 so I wanted to figure out billing. They started trying to take my vitals before I had even finished figuring out my insurance situation. I honestly wanted to leave, but I ended up staying because I felt pressured by the staff. While I was in the room seeing the doctor, I could hear nurses in another room talking about me, which was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. I came in because I thought I might need stitches for my lip. They said I didn’t necessarily need stitches, but it felt like they were pushing me to get them to avoid scarring. Then I was told it would take a few hours just to get one stitch, so I ended up leaving and didn’t receive any treatment because how long it would take and did not feel comfortable staying there. My lip healed fine and I didn’t even end up with a scar.
Now I’m left with a bill of over $500 for an awful experience and no real help. Overall, the staff were rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. I would not recommend this location to anyone and will never go back.
