Does insurance cover cataract surgery?
When cataracts impact your daily life surgery is deemed medically necesarry and is able to be billed to insurance. Any out of pocket costs will be shared with you prior to your procedure.
Can dry eye disease be cured?
Dry eye disease is not cureable. With proper treatment your symptoms can be succesfully managed.
Can glaucoma be prevented?
Glaucoma can not be prevented. It's important to have regular comprehensive eye exams to spot problems early. It is important for people with diabetes to have dilated eye exams on a regular basis. Some patients may have to be seen more than once per year depending on the complexity of their condition.
How often should diabetic people get their eyes checked?
Our offices are happy to answer any insurance questions for you. Most vision and/or medical insurance plans have some level of comprehensive eye exam benefit.
