  I have always had a good experience when bringing either of my children in to be seen up until this morning. I brought my teenage son in for upper respiratory concerns and they wanted to do a chest X-ray. When he was taken back to have the X-ray done I could hear the nurse telling him she needed to retake it several times and then another nurse walked in the X-ray room with a binder of how to do the images. When my son came back in the room he stated she had to retake the X-ray 11 times, and he could hear it each time she’d take it. When the nurse came back in the room I questioned why so many repetitive exposures were done and how it was concerning seeing it seemed like an excessive amount for that image study. She then stated it was only a few times not 11 and that the machine wasn’t working right. I said, well I know it was more than a few times because I could hear you telling him you needed to retake it multiple times. I said, I don’t know if it’s because you didn’t know what you were doing or if it was the machine messing up, but this is concerning and making me feel like he’s not receiving the proper care. Then the lead Eboni came in telling me how unnecessary it is for me to say that and I said, “how is it unnecessary?”I have every right as a parent to ask questions about the care my child is receiving when I am concerned about his safety. Eboni also said, if you work in the medical field you should know the exposure from the radiation is low and don’t you use a microwave at home? Eboni then just stood in the room arguing, and I had to ask her to leave the room 3 times because I wasn’t going to sit in the room arguing with her and to either send in a supervisor or the provider. Once the provider came in, I asked how many images were done and she stated 8 were done. The provider was the only one who apologized and agreed that it was too many and she understood my concerns as a parent. Unfortunately, I will no longer be using care pediatric as an option for my children after my experience today and how their lead Eboni wanted to try to make me look like I was in the wrong and had no right to voice any concern on the care my child was receiving, or to compare the medical treatment my son was receiving to how often we use the microwave at home, which is never 8 times in row. After leaving the appointment I did receive a call from the clinic letting me know, they recounted the images and it was actually 7 not 8, at this point it makes no difference on how I left feeling today.

  Highly recommend Care+ Pediatrics! Every person in the building is kind and you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. NP Pothen is truly amazing. She’s great with children and she goes in depth to make sure your child is cared for and all of your questions and concerns are answered. So thankful we found this urgent care.

  Brought my kid in for a fever , the service was prompt Receptionist , nurses and providers were very helpful and nice . Would recommend!

  We’ve been here twice for my youngest daughter and both times have been a reassuring experience. The staff, nurses and doctors were kind, took their time and never made us feel anything other than cared for.

  Melissa, APRN was super nice and professional. The girl at the front desk was prompt and anticipated our needs. The MA was prompt and got my daughter a popsicle. Great experience overall!
