I booked the first appointment of the day at 8 AM, hoping to get relief quickly. The appointment itself went smoothly, and the provider said they would call in a prescription for me. However, hours passed and nothing was sent to my pharmacy. I called around noon to check the status, and was told they were busy and would call me back. I completely understand that things can get hectic, so I waited patiently. When I still hadn’t heard back after an hour, I called again and was told there were eight patients ahead of me and that the doctor would “call it in when she had a minute.” Now it is 4:40 PM, my pharmacy closes at 5 PM, and the prescription still hadn’t been sent nine hours after my appointment. I’ve worked in a clinic before, and I understand how electronic prescriptions work, & sending one takes less than a minute. Having a patient wait all day in pain for something that simple feels completely unacceptable and borderline neglectful. I’ve come to this location multiple times and never had an issue before, but this experience was extremely disappointing and shows a real lack of urgency or compassion for patients in pain.
