I had a very disappointing experience at this LensCrafters location. I went in intending to purchase six pairs of Ray-Ban Meta glasses for business use. Prior to visiting, I called ahead and was told I would be eligible for a 50% off lenses promotion with the purchase of frames, which is why I chose to shop in person. In-store, I explained to Angela that I needed to purchase both frame sizes to determine proper fit for my employees and that the glasses would be used indoors with prescription lenses, so I did not want polarized lenses. Despite this, I was later told that the promotion would not be honored and that the glasses would instead be ordered online with prescription lenses through Ray Ban—completely defeating the purpose of purchasing through LensCrafters. I ultimately purchased a pair with the intention of returning it and ordering elsewhere due to the lack of consistency and clarity around promotions. The experience felt disorganized and misleading. Thankfully, I contacted the Kenwood Towne Center LensCrafters, where the store manager was surprised by what occurred and was extremely helpful. The difference in service was night and day. I will not give my business to this location, if you are paired with Angela, please run.

The worst shopping experience I’ve ever had happened at this location yesterday evening due to an aggressive and disrespectful saleswoman. I will never be shopping at LensCrafters again. I am disgusted by her pressure tactics and complete disrespect for my boundaries. This saleswoman hounded me, giving me unsolicited advice on what glasses “she’d like to see on me” despite me obviously showing discomfort due to her unending questions about which frames I liked and bringing out “similar” frames that also happened to be the most expensive brands in the store (Prada, Versace, Tiffany) even though I was looking at Rayban. She would not stop talking to leave me alone to peruse. Did she think I would crumble from her pressure and buy a $500+ frame even though the ones I was looking at were $200 or less? When I realized that I needed to leave because of my plans, I told her, and she kept holding me hostage, showing me one pair after another that she “really loved.” She wouldn’t give me back my glasses prescription which she held hostage for the entire time I was there. I had to go find it myself and take it back as I was leaving. Her sales pitch basically kept going even as I was walking out the door. I never got her name because the one thing she didn’t do was introduce herself. Bottom line: this experience completely put me off LensCrafters. I will never spend my money here and I will encourage my friends and family to stay away from this organization. I am so disgusted by this saleswoman’s tactics. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s driven away countless others from this brand with these same aggressive hounding.

Lady helping us was very pushing and started being more aggressive with trying to get the sale even as we were trying to leave

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
