It ended up becoming a team effort with the opticians and myself. They were very considerate, helpful and professional. In fact, Amy helped by choosing the frame that I ended up buying. Sara helped with choosing the correct lens and checked out all ways I could save money, while also checking what my insurance would cover. They do a great job! Edit: had to pick up my eyeglasses and decided yo get another pair. Janet actually pointed out where my eyes sit within the frame. This was incredibly helpful and important!! She did a lot of work to keep me within my budget too!!
