  I checked MYSELF in for some help. They didn’t have my medications on hand for over 24 hours. It was almost that long before I even spoke to a Dr. after being admitted. Their staff didn’t know if I was a voluntary or involuntary hold so they tried to keep me against my will after I wanted to leave. I had to threaten to call KPD to get them to release me. As part of my discharge they were supposed to make an appointment with my psychiatrist and up my prescription medication. They did neither of those things and just discharged me. If you need serious mental health services stay away from this place. Go to Beckett Springs instead.

  The lack of communication between doctors, nurses and the care team for the patients are absolutely horrible. The doctors that come in on the weekends to see the patients do not answer the questions that the patients have automatically assume that they can change treatment plans from the doctor that was set during the week. Rachel is one of the doctors and Dr Chung is the other doctor they both have done nothing but give my husband setbacks with his treatment. They have bounced him around from unit to unit to unit. I have requested multiple calls back from a supervisor John that never returned my call. I requested a call back from Dr Chung that ignored my request yesterday. They tell the patients in the morning when they wake up that they have to wait hours for their medication because they are short staffed that is not a patient problem that is a care facility problem. This facility was pretty good the first couple of days but then went completely downhill after that. They get your loved one admitted into this place and then think they can control them and when the advocate for the patient comes forward they turn to the silent treatment. I do not recommend this facility to anyone if you have the option go somewhere else because they will just run you in circles and make you worse. I'm expecting the generic reply that they give oh please contact us so nothing can be done because nothing is ever done when it comes to health care and nurses or doctors getting demerits. What a waste of time and money this entire admission has been.

  Brought in an aromatherapy lady who tried to claim we could cure our depression if we bought "real" frankincense from Jerusalem. Many group sessions were missed/skipped due to employees not showing up. Forced to pay for chaplain and religious services. Highly overpriced. When someone has a seizure, they'll leave them alone in your room for an hour without checking on them, but yell at you if you go near to check yourself. Nurses gave contradictory messages on whether to eat/drink after taking specific medications. Psychiatrists were cold and impersonal, didn't seem to care. One nurse kept taking off mask (back in 2020, before the vaccine had come out). Shower overflowed and nobody cared enough. Also a poor quality shower. The food was good though.
