Do you have parking?
Yes! The parking lot is spacious and limited to our use, so there’s almost guaranteed to be a parking space when you stop by. Additionally, we have two spots near the entrances reserved for accessible parking.
How do I know if I'm a candidate for braces?
Dr. Boley can tell you if you are a good candidate for braces. When you get an evaluation exam, he will check your alignment and assess the overall health of your teeth, mouth, and gums.
What happens if I lose or break my clear aligner?
Please call the Boley Braces office to go over the instructions. If you are able, wear a previous aligner for a regular prescribed time (22 hours per day)
What should I do if I have a wire that is poking out?
If a wire protrudes and is irritating, use a blunt instrument (the back of a spoon or the eraser end of a pencil) and gently push the irritating wire under the archwire. If irritation to the lips or mouth continues, place orthodontic wax on the wire to reduce irritation. Call our office as soon as possible for an appointment to check and repair the appliances. If any piece comes off, save it and bring it with you to the office.
Are there any foods I should avoid?
Yes! You'll need to avoid chewy foods (bagels, hard rolls, licorice), crunchy foods (popcorn, ice, chips), sticky foods (caramels, gum), hard foods (nuts, candy), and foods you have to bite into (corn on the cob, apples, carrots).
What should I do if I have a loose rubber band?
When a rubber band becomes loose you can usually fashion it back into place using a pair of sterilized tweezers. If not, please give us a call.
What should I do if I have a broken or loose bracket?
Often, hard foods can cause brackets to become loose. A modern-day solution is to place wax over the bracket to create tension to temporality lock it in place until you can be seen by Dr. Boley. Make sure you give us a call!
