When completing paperwork for myself and daughter I left a question blank about a 39 fee for imaging hoping they would explain it to me and tell what if anything my insurance may cover as it said $39 and in () or cheaper depending on insurance. They did not explain anything and went ahead and did the test and then told me I had to pay $98 upfront for me and my daughter. When I questioned why as I know my co-pays are $10 apiece they replied with for the retina imaging. I kindly told them I did not initial for that And that I wasn’t going to be paying that As they automatically did it without talking with me. The girls working with the doctor became rude and told me that in order to submit for billing to our insurance they had to do that test or I would be dilated. I chose the dilation for me and my daughter as there was no extra fee. If things would have been explained better I probably would’ve chose to pay the $39 fee, but since they automatically went ahead and did it and would not show me the paper when I requested it I chose the dilation. The girls working with the doctor as well as the doctor were rude from that point on will never go back to target optical at the Dayton mall for another eye exam..
