It felt educational and reassuring, and she was a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, the experience after the exam was disappointing. The staff member who handled the exam setup and the front-desk staff assisting with frames and lenses were unprofessional and dismissive. Questions about insurance benefits were met with irritation, and there was strong pressure to upsell lenses not covered by insurance. When I asked clarifying questions, the attitude became noticeably unhelpful. The contrast between the doctor’s professionalism and the front-office experience was stark. Customer-facing staff training and transparency around insurance benefits need significant improvement. The arrogant and upsell-focused behavior of the staff ensures I won’t be returning to this location.
