Cameron was the highlight and saving grace of my experience at lenscrafters in the Kenwood mall. Despite having sizing issues for my prescription, he accommodated my needs and was transparent throughout the entire process. I will be coming back to this location because of Cameron. Give him a raise ASAP

I had a very disappointing experience at this store today. When I arrived, the employees who were not busy with other customers did not ask if I needed help. I was only approached after about 10 minutes, when I had already been looking at frames on my own. I came specifically to choose a new pair of glasses, so I expected at least some basic assistance from the staff. When they started showing me frames, no one asked whether I might need a smaller or larger size. I am not an expert in frame sizing, and I do not think customers should be expected to figure that out on their own. That is exactly the kind of thing store employees should be helping with, so it was strange that nobody even mentioned it. After I chose the frames I liked, I was given a price estimate with insurance applied. The final price came out to around $600, which was shocking, because on the website I had already selected the exact same frames and the exact lenses that work for me, and with insurance my total there was about $260. When I brought this up, I was told they supposedly could not give me the same price as online, but no one gave me a clear explanation why. That makes no sense to me. If I selected the same frames, the same lenses, and used the same insurance information, I do not understand how the price could go from about $260 online to around $600 in store. That kind of difference feels completely unjustified. On top of that, the employees tried to tell me that the frames I chose supposedly required “special” lenses because of the brand, which honestly sounded ridiculous. Then, when I showed them the lenses I actually wanted, I was told that my prescription supposedly required different lenses. Overall, this felt much less like honest professional guidance and much more like an attempt to upsell me into paying for a far more expensive option. In the end, I ordered my glasses online instead, and I am much happier with that decision. I will not be returning to this store.

UPDATE!!!!! I received a call at 4:43pm from the Kenwood LensCrafters from Tiffany(manager) stating my glasses were completed.. I was so excited and was on my way to get them. To then get a call at 4:46pm from Cameron that they had mis-communication and my glass weren’t ready. Cameron advised that the lens came back a second time to small for the frame. Are you kidding me!!!! They advised that this happens sometimes but usually fixed on the second time. But mine is very unusual to the point that he was trying to steer me away from LensCrafters reordering the lenses. I want these for my trip to Vegas and he is acting like nothing can be done. He said there is no quality team that checks these glasses out before they are sent from the lab(in Atlanta). They can not cut the lens in Kenwood due to it being for the Meta glasses. I’m at a loss for words. This has been the WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve been through at LensCrafters. The communication is horrible . How do I get in touch with corporate.? Cameron advised he will call me back to verify that they reordered the lens but still no call back. I need help ASAP!!!!!! I’m having a bad experience with the LensCrafters in Kenwood mall. I purchased meta glass for my wife and myself on February 14th. I paid over $800 for the both. My wife’s came back within a week but mine on the other hand is still missing in action. I call every couple days and they keep advising they are in the finalization stage. They said the delay was due to them making the lens too small for the frame and they had to redo them. This is going on the third week. No one from Kenwood LensCrafters has called me to update me on the status at all. I have to be the to call them or go 25 minutes(which I did twice)in store just to get told they aren’t ready. They keep giving me a generic response that I will get a text when they are ready. This is becoming ridiculous.I even spoke to the manager Tiffany and she was as nice as can be and said she would call me on Monday 03/09 after her meeting but I didn’t receive a call from her either. I’m to the point that I want to cancel this order and go somewhere else. This has been the worst experience EVER!!! Hopefully someone will see this and help me out in some way or I will just have to wait another week or two or cancel!!!!!

Zero stars is a generous rating for my experience at this store. The buying experience was frustrating as the store is very disorganized and people are not taken in order…they try to manage with post it notes and fail. I will say the associate (Cameron) who fitted me deserves 5 stars…he had funky blue designer glasses and was great. The only bright spot in the store. Now for the pickup experience which was even more painful…I ordered two glasses and when my spouse picked up one pair they told her my second pair wasn’t ready even though they were. Now after returning to the store for a second time, the store manager (Tiffany) instead of apologizing and resolving immediately makes excuses and rude comments to other store associates. She didn’t even get up and excuse herself from the person she was working with to simply hand me my glasses. She does not deserve to be in a position of leadership let alone customer service. Roshanna is also a rude associate as she didn’t even attempt to offer me assistance while I was waiting for 10 minutes for someone to just hand me my glasses. The excuse of we get busy on Saturdays doesn’t fly; that doesn’t mean you can treat customers how ever you want.

Everyone was warm and welcoming on my initial visit until there was a problem with the frames and the eye prescription. RaShanna never took any measurements and as a result the glasses were not a good fit and were returned. I picked out another frame with Tiffany and when I picked them up, I didn't like the way they fit on my face, and she got very annoyed. She informed me that she was the product manager and returning frames affected her bottom line. I had also ordered tinted lenes for my own frames to replace my old prescription but because of the way I was treated I ask her to refund my money on all my purchases and put the original prescription lenses back in my frames. Unfortunately, they misplaced my lenses and now I don't have any glasses. Tiffany told me that after they find my original lenses, for me not to return because I was done. I still have to get my original glasses back.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
