Eye 1 was founded over 25 years ago in Yellow Springs, Ohio. True, it was an unusual burg (we had bovine neighbors) to open a high-end, unique eyewear store. Word spread quickly about the eyewear store that carried unbelievably cool frames and we became a destination for folks far and wide. Fast forward to 2000 when we opened the the Hyde Park location. in 2005 we closed the Yellow Springs store and opened a store in Dayton. Our selection may vary by store, but frames are easily transferred.

- YFYvonne FneicheNov 8, 20255.0I drove 2.5 hours to come see their selection, from the Toledo Ohio area. This place has a wonderful selection of frames for all face shapes and artistic styles. I love frames that are not run of the mill that look like everyone else’s. The ladies were super helpful and gave great feedback, and helped me select just the right pair. It was a hard choice, there were at least 4 that were fabulous. The prices were to be expected as these are designer and not the mass box store styles. Each frame is crafted with care and attention to detail and you can feel the quality in the materials. I only bought the frames and will have to get my lenses near my home, so I can’t attest to that. I will be coming back again the next time I have to pass through the Dayton area. What a gem of a shop! Thank you for your expertise.

This is the second pair of Lindberg's I have owned but have purchased several other brands in the past. Eye 1 has the best selection of glasses anywhere. David, Grace, and Deidra were wonderful to work with and made sure I was truly happy with my purchase. I highly recommend them.
