I had a great experience, so why 1 star? Because people need to know that despite the “urgent care” label, this is billed as an outpatient facility by insurance so that they can get out of the outrageous $400+ facilities fee. We were there 20 minutes, charging $400 for what is a $30 copay at an “urgent care” should be criminal. Avoid this facility if you have urgent care needs despite the stellar care. I’ll keep this a one star review until the name is no longer “Urgent Care” or insurance has corrected their coding - as it is, it is wildly immoral.

I was very disappointed with my experience at the ENT department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center due to unexpected billing practices.
Before scheduling the appointment, I verified with my insurance that the specialist visit would require a $60 copay. However, after the appointment I received a bill for nearly $400 for what was only about a 20-minute visit with the doctor.
I later learned that this location bills appointments as a hospital outpatient visit rather than a standard physician office visit. Because of the way it was coded and billed, my insurance did not cover it as expected, leaving me responsible for the majority of the cost. Unfortunately, this was never explained to me when scheduling the appointment.
Had I been informed that the visit would be billed as a hospital outpatient service rather than a typical specialist visit, I would have considered other options. The lack of transparency about billing created a very frustrating and expensive experience.
I would strongly encourage patients to ask detailed questions about how appointments are billed before scheduling.

I took my 5 month old son here about ago. He wasn't holding down his bottles. He already is having a hard time gaining weight. The dr acted like nothing was wrong and called my 5 month a wild one. Won't be going back to this one!
3.5 total hours wait time and still waiting. Will never come here again. Horribly managed, zero communication on wait times. Now in the actual room and feel like we’re being held hostage -with an hour sitting here with zero communication on what to expect next. They take appointments but say they accept walk ins. Clearly they have not been able to figure out the volume of appointments they can accept so they can accommodate walk in’s with some level of efficiency. Recommend to choose any other urgent care option other than this place
The staff at children’s are amazing. They made sure they found out what was wrong with my son and gave the best care they possibly could while we were there. There was no wait time either.
