DO NOT recommend if you need a TB (tuberculosis) test as they draw it incorrectly as evidence by my (20 yr old) daughter needing it for school and receiving a (false) positive result. This led to her getting a chest X-ray to verify no active disease. Then she was referred to infectious disease for treatment- the first thing the ID doctor asked was "how many tubes did they draw?" (Answer was one). She said anything less than 4 tubes is incorrect protocol and had been leading to many false positives (as she's been seeing lots of patients for the same thing)-she also said that if they are drawing it in the one tube, then splitting into the 4 tubes later is also INCORRECT protocol. Once she redrew it at the Summa lab, (not surprisingly) the result was completely negative. This cost my daughter over $200 in fees (for copays, chest X-ray cost and lab copays), which was unnecessary. I called Quest to file a complaint- but they won't address it with me calling and require MY PHYSICIAN to take time out of his day and call client services and complain on my behalf, which I feel is inappropriate and not his problem. I will continue going to Summa, even though they only have 2 labs (95 Arch Street, Akron, and Wadsworth Hospital) and the wait time is significant, but at least I know it will be drawn correctly.

Never answer phones, or robot directed to infinity and beyond. Sign in so low, that if you have a bad back - forget it. Designed for 3' tall people. No help for blind people. Whole waiting room is complaining about bad experiences with the process. Referred to by SUMMA heath in Akron, to save 20 extra mile drive. Tried to call to see if this was the right place, because there are 20 different businesses call Quest, including drug rehabs. Have to drive there to find out, cuz, your questions are not important to us ... click
On Wednesday, November 27, I went online to schedule an appointment, so that I would have results for Tuesday December 3rd, for my upcoming surgery. It was my second visit to Quest, and had a password and user ID. I went thru the process, selected Monday December 2nd, at Noon, and when I tried to check in, was turned away after my 12 hour fast, going thru the night, doing a security stint for a friend. Not a happy camper. The lady doing the blood draws at the time said, "OH, You probably didn't hit the submit button, hidden on the next page down below the selection page." There is a hidden button on a screen that doesn't show up? I didn't have this problem last time? So I had to go another hour and a half for the next available opening. I was sick as a dog, that night, probably from going almost 15 hours without eating, diarrhea and vomiting for 13 hours straight.
My visit, a month ago was almost as bad, as a booked and appointment from the terminal in the office. I selected and available time, spent 10 minutes loading my information, hit submit and was rejected, because in the time it took to enter the info, somebody else snatched that time. I started over again, and had it snatched again. The next available tome after this was almost 2 hours later!!! What a pain, to go from 20 minutes to 2 hours while standing there!
