  They openly admit to heavily utilizing using LLM's in their practice, and Dr. DeVito misdiagnosed a textbook abscess as a lipoma, and told me they'll schedule the removal for 6 weeks from that date. I had to have the hospital ER treat the abscess after it worsened to the point of endangering my health. Their use of LLM's in a medical practice will result in serious problems for their patients, and is criminally reckless. Do not use ANY Southwoods medical services if you value your safety and the integrity of your medical records.

  Hello, we are in this hospital at this moment, my husband had spine surgery. Dr. grisafi was our spine surgeon and he was on time, straight to the and great bed side manner! I’ll say absolutely wonderful from 5:30am to 8:30pm. Amazing staff- RN Taylor and RN Pat were perfect in every aspect. The FOOD was so awesome. The room and chairs were clean. The staff that you first meet to get registered and who take you back were wonderful too! Very informative and they know the drill. I just want to say thank you to everyone who was involved with my husband’s surgery and you guys rock!

  "I recently underwent right-side SI fusion surgery at Southwoods Surgical Center, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. My surgeon, Dr. Michael Shumaker, was phenomenal—his expertise and professionalism gave me complete confidence throughout the process. A huge thank you to the recovery staff who worked tirelessly to get my pain under control immediately after surgery. Once I was moved upstairs, I received world-class care from two of the best nurses I’ve ever encountered. My daytime nurse, Taylor, and my nighttime nurse, Mitzi, were both phenomenal. Their attentiveness and dedication to making sure I was as comfortable as possible made a world of difference in my recovery. Thank you to the entire team for such a positive experience!"

  My wife had hip replacement surgery there today with Dr Tyler Ames. What a great experience it has been so far from start this morning at 5:15 to now, 9pm. Everybody and every thing has just been great. This is a private locally owned hospital run by our local Southwoods Doctors. How lucky we are in Youngstown to have them👍🥰‼️ Don't even mentioned the major differences in the food (Southwoods is great). Five star all the way 🥳around. Thank You Southwood Staff❤️‼️

  Hospital was clean and the staff was nice except u come to the café the lady’s we’re very rude and ignorant. They took every one order fast but took thier time making our ham and cheese sandwiches and burn them and no I wasn’t going to make them make it over because we was there at 6:30 am and it was too early to for anything
